@SO180242 Glad you got into 6 other schools. You have an impressive resume. What major did you apply to for TCNJ? They seem extra competitive this year.
I applied as a Biology major @Sally50
@SO180242 Did you receive an email about changing majors and if you did what did you change it too?
I never received an email about changing majors, but my friend did as he was a Biology major as well. @pandaqureshi999
Still no word fromTCNJ - it’s like a girl waiting for a better offer on a Friday night- ok nothing better so you can come. So glad applied early decision.
I haven’t checked my mail yet, but since you also didn’t get anything, and the admissions office was closed for snow for a day or two, it’s highly unlikely that they sent out another batch recently…
has anyone heard anything recently? Still nothing in the mail or online for me yet! I applied early childhood ed and psychology but switched to early childhood ed and sociology once I got an email saying that the acceptance rate for psych had dropped to 20%.
Nothing yet for me either
Still waiting - Comp Sci (did not switch majors despite email)
Checked my snail mail today, still nothing. International studies major and in-state, applied January.
GPA: 3.6 UW, 3.73 W
ACT: 27
Extracurriculars: Model UN, Philosophy club, political action committee, National Honor society
I also have TCNJ credit from a summer (history) course I took there.
Any idea on my chances?
I’ve said this many times in this thread, but might as well repost since I haven’t heard back either.
Instate, CS major, got the Change of Major email back in the beginning of February, but didn’t change from CS.
GPA: 3.1uw 3.8w (one of the highest ranked schools in NJ known for its rigor, GPA is average when compared with other students from my school)
(Idr which score I actually sent to TCNJ so I’ll just put both)
SAT: 1560
ACT: 34
Extracurriculars: Volunteering for the same organization since 6th grade, math club, computer science club
Won the Presidential Volunteer Service Award 2x in a row (10th and 11th grade) and was a National Merit Commended Scholar
I read all of these anxious posts and think that maybe I should urge my D to apply ED next fall. She will declare as English major, but this seems SO stressful!
@NJmom71 Definitely stressful for the students (and parents). As long as you can commit to that ED school (financially etc.), I would encourage it. If they are a rolling admission school, apply as soon as the application ‘opens’
Good Luck
@NJmom71: My son went out of state to a private school and applied RD. The wait was brutal. My daughter applied ED to TCNJ in-state and got accepted with scholarship before Thanksgiving. If you are willing and able to commit, I would highly recommend ED!
Got accepted weeks ago yet I haven’t heard anything about financial aid. Has anyone heard back for financial aid yet?
@xyb678 Same. Still waiting…
@MrElonMusk I haven’t even gotten a letter or notification on PAWS yet about admission, even though it seems like everyone already got letters in February…
Ok glad i’m not the only one. I got accepted in febraury through mail, and my PAWS online account still doesn’t say anything (like if I’ve been accepted and my major), but I do know other people are in the same boat so
@DiplomatNat I would call admissions
I’m in the same boat as @DiplomatNat, I’m gonna give them until the end of next week when I get back from my senior trip. Everyone else in my school seems to have already gotten their decisions, including rejections.
