@inspirechange7 There’s still so much time!! We have 9 days, and they change until the morning of decision day. Don’t give up!

@inspirechange7 Don’t give up hope! Transitional Funding has absolutely no bearing on your admissions. There were people whose status changed quickly last year and did not get in and those who didn’t change until the morning of notification day that did. You have to put positive thoughts into the universe You got this!

Has anyone been invited to the Washington webinar?

@flossey they’re at a whole different maturity level than you are. It was really weird when I first started education field experience in the high school, but really, there’s a huge difference between you and your kids (except the occasional teacher who thinks you don’t belong in the copy room or something!)

I didn’t apply for TF so I have absolutely nothing to compulsively check during these long and agonizing 9 days !

I applied for TF, and it still say’s under review. Past years seem to have mixed responses to if this is actually an early indicator of admission. But some say their TF status didn’t change until notification day. I almost wish I didn’t apply for it because it just gives me something to obsessively check and to worry about. :(

I heard from a corps member that it generally seems they get reviewed in the order they’re submitted . Is that not accurate?

I’ve been lurking in this thread and last years and I sure hope thats the case because my TF status remains unchanged. My documents haven’t even been verified. I did, however, send them in like an hour before the deadline

@xomandy122ox I think there are mixed responses with regards to the order of submission as well. I didn’t send my transitional funding documents in until the last day this year and my documents have been verified. Last year when I applied, I sent in my documents right away and they were never verified. My older sister, who was a D.C. corps member did not have any of her documents verified or have her status changed until notification day.

Hello everyone, wasn’t aware there was already a thread for this, I’ve been reading through last years. I actually had a different experience from everyone else. Im abroad so I did a virtual interview with two other people. I though it went well, but it was a lot more stressful because the only real options for the lesson plan were powerpoint or ms word.
I have also applied for transitional funding, and I turned it in the last day, maybe 6 hours before it was due, and about a day or two later they were verified, and then on the 20th I received an email about needing different paperwork. I sent it in yesterday and now all my documents say “yes” verified and my funding is “under review.”
I’m hoping to get Los Angeles, Hawaii or Nashville, and preferably Kinder-5 grade.

That makes me kind of nervous!

This is making me even more nervous! Oh boy… This is gonna be a long week or so.

Howdy - yes I too have been looking at the long threads regarding transitional funding and did a little research into the past few years as well. For what it’s worth - like a few others mine were all verified within days of my final interview but received a nice email from the loans and grants department stating that i missed a document but should have it to them by December 4th (the final deadline for TF funding for both 1st and 2nd DL I believe). That being said, I would be very surprised to see if my TF funding status will change to complete between now and next week. To read the tea leaves; I’ll take it as a good sign.

@LupeLA that is what happened with my transitional funding as well. Documents Verified, Request for more documents, Documents marked with “yes” next to them

So I’m just curious… To those who have had their funding documents verified and such, what day did you interview? I was looking back at the 2012 corps thread and noticed they had funding decisions kind of correlate with interview dates, so I was curious to see if that was the case this year as well.

Hello everyone,

I have received emails from TFA invididuals twice requesting more documentation for my tf so I’m thinking that this could be a good sign, from looking a previous threads.

I interviewed on the last day available in my region Oct. 16th. My documents have not been verified yet. I was going to try to see if I could switch a preference, but my unsubmit button is gone

I am now nervous that mine is Complete so early and everyone else got asked for more documents. I interviewed on the 14th.

U shouldn’t be. Complete is a good thing. I think by now they know who got in…now its just a matter of placement. I’m sure they wouldn’t review TF without an idea of you being selected…it creates unnecessary work, and having been on staff with tfa I can tell u that they are VERY efficient with the use of time and resources

When did urs go to complete @flossey
