I am working on this application right now…. far from confident though…. Any tips?

@LovelyWanders Just be sure to talk about your experiences and align them with the core values of Teach for America. Also really put a lot of effort and time into the short answer questions so they can see the type of person you are, your experiences and what you have to offer! Good Luck!!

@PugGirl85 How was your interview? I wanna get this conversation going again!

For those who had to take the TFA Spanish profiency exam (Oct. 24th deadline), have you received an email stating if you passed or not? We were supposed to get notified today and I did not receive an email.

Had my interview last Friday and just received an email about my transitional funding app. When I went to look I realized that all my documents are now verified except the one I need to update. Hopefully thats a good sign!

@Blackbeltbabsz I think they are getting through things a tad slow. So I wouldn’t be too worried.

@Sstearns Did you receive that email today or yesterday? I wonder when they started looking at TF

@TFAHopeful2015 I got the email around noon yesterday.

@Sstearns okay. I had my interview on Thursday of last week. And got an email about TF this Thursday. Hopefully this is a good sign!

I got the email last Monday about TF. Interesting maybe for the third deadline everyone receives an update.

@sarr1166 When did you interview?

I honestly feel like that could be true. But also why would they go through all the trouble if they are trying to be efficient. I applied last year through early deadline and the application seemed as though it wasn’t considered anymore. I could delete all my coursework etc. But again, they could have changed it for this deadline.

@TFAHopeful2015 I interviewed on December 3rd. I am trying not to think too much about it. At this point we still have about a month until notification day, so we might as well not stress ourselves out about it. But I do agree, I don’t know why they would go through the trouble of looking at our TF if we weren’t going to be accepted.

@sarr1166 I’m being notified this Thursday whether I’m accepted or not. So I’m nervous. So I can let all of you know whether something has changed between this deadline and the last one.

I’m so excited that I have found a forum I can discuss and share my anxiousness for my acceptance into TFA 2015 Corps. I got the email on Monday that you all were talking about. I agree! Why are they going through all that trouble just to NOT accept me. My friend said she had to do that but she is a TFA 2014 Corps member in Cleveland. So maybe it is only for people they are strongly considering.

@StevieD Was you email concerning Transitional Funding?

@TFAHopeful2015 yes it was… I uploaded the files but nothing changed. I tried to see if I could email someone but I couldn’t find a link with a web address. So I’ll just wait. It says you have until Feb. 15 to turn everything in…

Ahh! So nervous. I’m praying there is a correlation between TFand Acceptance still. @StevieD there is a month left till everyone finds out so I wouldn’t stress too much. My TF says Under Review with all documents verfied.

@TFAHopeful2015 That’s so exciting. Wishing you the best of luck. What region are you hoping to get placed in?

What is everyone’s top 3 regions?

I won’t learn my region or subject placement till January 8th if I’m accepted. But I chose
- Memphis
- Houston
- Metro Atlanta

What were your top 3?!
