OMG anyone else just get an email with this subject: [Action Requested] Your Teach For America Interview
I almost died! But, alas, it is just a silly survey. Those jerks! You can’t label an email with that subject when we are all impatiently waiting for decisions!
@unicorncat91: hahaha. don’t even worry about it! and please continue letting us know about the progress of your TF. I think the email you mentioned is based on the day you interviewed. Us 5DL people should be receiving it early next week or this weekend if TFA doesn’t lag it. 
hehe.
@TFA5thDL2015: I’ve been reading back in the forum, and it looks like there are two things to watch for with TF funding. 1) Status on Applicant Center going to “complete” and 2) documents going to “verified”.
I’m not sure my TF status is an indicator in this case, because my status went to “complete” almost a week before my final interview. My documents went to “verified” the day I got the email from them, though (3/3). Sounds sketchy.
@unicorncat91: it may sound sketchy, but I would consider it as a GOOD sketchy. heck, i’d rather want mine verified than nothing at all. lol. haha
I read your earlier post about a spreadsheet. what were you referring to?
@unicorncat91 so, from what i understand, they actually mean complete under the transitional funding tab, not just on your status page. but the verified thing is a great sign! here’s to hoping!
@TFA5thDL2015 they told us we could change our preferences until sunday the 8th. and i mean i already have mississippi and arkansas as my first choices, so i didn’t change too much. i just switched one of my least preferred ones to rio grande valley. so yeah, i think we can change anything!
honestly, i think they know who they are going to make offers to already. they just have to get their ducks in a row in regards to TF and placements. honestly, i really doubt the one on one was anything more than a formality… their opportunity to get a good grasp on your passion and your chance to have an alums full attention for a little while. because my one on one was literally nothing more than clarification on other points made throughout the whole process.

Also, I saw that spread sheet when I was creeping earlier. Anyone good at excel and want to put something together on google docs maybe?!

I recently received an email about the Amanda Bass…subject line: “Don’t Miss Out! Online Event Opportunity!”… did everyone else get this invitation? I don’t wanna think too much into it, but it’s kinda hard not to… LOL. eeeek!
Oh yea, I still don’t know what spread sheet you guys are referring to. haha.

it was to like compare information and then if they got accepted or not just to help themselves and future people!
@marydee: haha. let’s!! when i read the information being discussed on that event… first question that came to mind was… “hmmm… why would they send this information to me if they dont want me…”… idk i think i’m going crazy and misinterpreting all these mumbo-jumbo.
Oh yea that data would make it really easy for everyone… i think google doc would be nice… if someone can start a document where we can all enter our TF updates, interview date , etc it would be soooo easy to look at…
The fact that I’ve been replaying my interview in my head since I finished, has me like uggggh. Of all of the parts, I believe my one to one was the weakest. My interviewer didn’t seem into it. I want to attribute the discomfort to the heat in the room, since I was feeling stuffy as well, but you never know.
@unicorncat91, that does sound like a positive since they are actually looking at it. Heck, if my status changed I’d feel a little more confident lol
@MoLoveMoGrowth I feel the exact same way about my one on one. My interviewer actually seemed very into it, but I dont’t know, I just wish I hadnt said some things. But i still think the one on one was more of a formality than anything.
But honestly, even making it this far was a huge accomplishment.

@marydee: if you signed up for the online event today regarding “The Corps Experience: In the Future,” did you receive a confirmation yet? I signed up as soon as I got the e-mail last week, but I have not received any confirmation for this event. When I tried signing up for it again today, it says I couldn’t sign up because I had already registered. I think I would need a registration number or something to join this event, so I don’t know what to do atm.
For this matter, if anyone else signed up for this event, may you please let me know if you’ve received a confirmation email? It starts in like 1.5hour and I hope I can join to listen in…

Still no update on my TF, though 
@TFA5thDL2015 yea, I haven’t received a confirmation either. It may be a small glitch. I think to sign on we only need our name and email.
Also, no TF changes this way either.

Dang, I couldn’t attend the event coz my computer didn’t support their program. If anyone would like to share what the event was like, that would be awesome!

So I just checked my TF status and it now says YES under documents verified. It didn’t say that earlier. Not sure ift that means anything!
