haha well, i’d be feeling a lot more confident if my TF stuff would just get verified. i’m pretty easy to please. but yes, it’s at the point where we need to just keep our minds occupied i think!
I feel like Im working on the TFA episode of scooby freaking doo. But another thought. TF varirs based on region. I put Arkansas as my number 1 and I dont remember if any of you did or no… but them doing the TF by placement is possible

I had my first sub job today. At first, I was a little hesitant because it was for a SPED resource teacher position, but I absolutely loved IT! The children were wonderful. I had a great day - even though I had to teach fraction. EEEKKK
@marydee: I think that’s a really smart idea! It makes a lot of sense that each region would be in charge of reviewing their own TF apps. In that light, my only HP was Massachusetts. Arkansas was nowhere on my list. Don’t lose hope yet!!!

Yup my HP were popular regions (special circumstance with MA at #1). Then Sacramento, Hawaii, & Eastern NC. No Arkansas. And it makes total sense that they would place everyone and then work on the financial packages, my recruiter said they can’t determine your award until you’re placed bc some people need more money to relocate based on where they’re going. So who knows where they are at!
My weekend is going to draaagggg.
Not sure if I’m allowed to say this but I’m just throwing this out here, I was approved for an early notification (I had a competing offer from Teaching Fellows) so I received an email yesterday saying that I was receiving an invitation to the corps for Orlando but that I wouldn’t see any changes in my applicant center till the 19th. For those wondering, I did receive an email requesting my official transcript (I had only uploaded an unofficial) be uploaded asap and that was a day or two after my final interview, on my transitional funding status page there is a YES next to all my supporting docs, no notes and it says that my application is still “under review”. Good luck to the rest of you!

urgh. just urgh. whatever i have tntp to fall back on. i hate to be that annoying negative one, but that annoying negative one had reason to be annoying and negative on other years lol. they say the verified documents have nothing to do with acceptance, but they totally do.
@unicorncat91 that’d be awesome! My special circumstance I don’t think will be viewed as highly urgent though (my SO just has a job in Boston so I’d love to be there) but I really hope I get it of course!! Yeah for my subregions I ranked them Boston, South, then West!!
@marydee, I am completing an application for tntp now. What was that application process like?
@chellepepper literally almost identical, only a much more intense phone interview and no in person one.
I think after acceptance, I’m most worried about the school interviews…and the fact that we have to accept the first job offer we receive.
Also does anyone know if there is a break between summer institute and school? Like do we get to go home for a few weeks to make sure we have everything settled, or are we there for good once institute has started, until the individual school breaks of course?
I hadn’t heard about school interviews, that sounds nerve-wracking but if everyone has to, I’m sure it all goes fine! Also from my understanding there is time to move your stuff to wherever you are after Summer Institute, there is a few week break after Institute until the first day of school
School interview? I wasn’t aware of those either. I thought that was part of the placement process. Huh. I feel like the school interview would be easier than what we just went through!
