Quick question about our region preference, I thought we had the opportunity to speak with someone before filling out that information? Also, since we are only juniors, would the subject areas we can teach change depending on our courses next year?
Not sure…I am in a masters program right now and my Bachelors is in Bio, so I would love to teach Bio. Maybe the email we will get later today will explain the part about speaking with someone?
Yes I’m sure that we will have the opportunity to talk with someone about everything probably on Monday … I’m also in my masters program!
Did anyone else apply for Transitional Funding? It states that we would be notified of our funding amount today if we were accepted, but mine still says “Under Review”…

its funny though, they changed the due date of the transitional funding to 4/20 now…either that’s the due date for the next round of applicants or they are just going to look at ours more closely, now that we are accepted?

Honestly, screw TFA. I’ve now been rejected two years in a row. Lovely. I’m just sitting here scratching my head, wondering what went wrong. Last year I could understand the rejection. I largely botched my interview and teaching lesson. This year, I felt very strongly about both components - I felt awesome. If they didn’t like my resume, why invite me to a final interview? Why consider me at all? Feeling really hurt and cheated right now. Congrats to all of you though. Won’t be applying for TFA again.
@philojunkie same here, i have so much teaching experience since im going to be a certified teacher next year. Lesson plan was just another day in an education class, simple. Interview was simple. Everything was smooth and i also just want an explanation as to what went wrong
Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows if we have options for our assignment once we are accepted. for example, will they say that I can teach middle school math in charlotte OR teach high school english in new jersey? And then we make a selection from there? Or, do they just give us a state and grade?
