We’re so close guys… Even though it is absolutely agonizing to have to wait until tomorrow. I’m rethinking my interview and everything so I’m trying to be at peace with the fact I probably won’t get in.
I understand what you’re saying @ukwildcatstfa. I came out of my interview feeling great, over the past few weeks I have been over analyzing and now am having second thoughts; maybe I could have answered this question differently or should have added more to that question. The wait is killing me. I don’t know what time they will inform us if we were accepted or not, I know I will be refreshing the page every 5 minutes though.
Yeah–I had a friend in the room when I did my (virtual) interview and while he says it went well I’m second guessing everything. I’m trying to freak out about my other upcoming interviews instead haha–seems like a more productive plan.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
@HopingTFA2019 I’ve read through the forum and people have been notified anywhere between noon and 5pm. I’m just going to set an alarm at different intervals tomorrow so I can check without losing my mind lol.
Good luck to everyone! Regardless if any of us get in, we should be proud we made it this far and there’s always next year! I’m hoping for the best for each of us though!
Today is the day, wishing everyone the best!
Good luck to all of you final round applicants today! I was a second round applicant and would love to connect with anyone who gets placed in Eastern North Carolina!
I have checked the website an unhealthy amount already today
In the email they sent to us after the interviews (the survey one) it said we’d hear back after 5pm EST, so I wouldn’t check too much before then.
@kaarboer I know but some people got their notifications before 5. I was just hoping that happens to me lol. You’re right though, I should probably just wait it out.
@kaarboer @ukwildcatstfa my portal updated a little after 3pm EST and I got my email around 5pm
@BeTHEChange93 So right in the middle of class for me haha… oof
Good luck everyone! I’m nervously waiting for my decision but I just keep reminding myself that everything happens for a reason and that even if I don’t get in, it’ll be okay!
Does anyone’s transitional funding still say “under review”? I’m not sure if this is a bad sign or a neutral sign:/
@AnxiousMess923 mine doesn’t say under review, did you apply for transitional funding? I didn’t
my transitional funding says “incomplete” and they emailed me asking for more information last night
I GOT IN
Just got South Dakota!
I didn’t get in and not sure why. Graduate degree, and additional certification in both subject matter I wanted to teach, one year worth of teaching experience, including helping disadvantaged students from 2nd and 3rd world regions acquire admissions to western universities during a teach abroad experience , extensive work with a special needs individual for two years as a life skills coach/teacher, and experience coaching sports. Also used the star method like instructed during the interview and my interviewer said my lesson was flawless. So weird.
Seeing I didn’t have a recruiter and applied blindly last admissions, either that has to be the reason or there is some sort of corruption going on with the admissions process. Considering some of the sketchy reviews the company has received from qualified teachers working in the field and the fact they don’t disclose reasons as to why people with the published qualifications don’t get in, one has to wonder.
@Freeberty I also didn’t get in and am not sure why. I felt like I was one of the top interviewers during my session, and definitely the most prepared. But I guess my experience just didn’t line up with what they wanted.
I got Secondary English in Nashville!
I really don’t know how they make their decisions, but I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you @Freeberty. You sound very qualified.
