Teacher Can't Log in, Rec Letter LATE!!!!

My teacher hasn't submitted my rec letter due to not being able to log in. I added and re-added her as a recommender to the system to try to "refresh" the account. Except, now it is beyond the deadline, and she still hasn't replied to my emails.

1) Are schools able to see when I added the teacher recommender? I ask this because I added the teacher to my recommenders on Dec 17th, but it didn't work. So I removed/re-added on Jan 1st. I'm worried it'll look really bad to the admissions officers if they see that I assigned a teacher recommender on Jan 1st.

2) All of my application materials say: "Downloaded' on them. When my teacher does eventually gain access to her account, will schools download the recommendation letter she submits automatically or will it show "submitted" and I have to individually notify schools that an error with the common app system caused her to be late, and that they will have to update my application documents?

Thanks

Chilllllll, haha. Late teacher reccomendations are no big deal. As long they’re not weeks late, you should be fine.

After submission, it’ll show up as submitted, and then downloaded within the next few days.

Schools cannot see the date you added your recommenders. And they will be able to download the rec once your teacher submits it. All Jan 1 deadlines have been extended for student applicants which means recommendation deadlines have also been extended. So long as the rec is submitted soon, you should be fine.
