I was wondering how I should fill out the School Forms section of the Common Application. It says I should invite my teachers and counselors, but the problem is: I am the one who will be mailing them to colleges since it is I who is paying to have them translated. My teachers don't speak English and I think inviting them anyways through the Common Application website will cause confusion since the Common App will probably send them an e-mail. What do I do?

I just browsed through the School Officials FAQ section on commonapp.com, and it seems that school officials are supposed to indicate online that they will use paper forms if the student applies online.

Does the online application give you an option not to send an electronic request to your teachers? If not, you have two choices: proceed with your own online application and help your teachers opt out of the online system properly, or switch to paper yourself. (I would not tell your teachers to ignore the request and send the paper forms anyway, because your application might automatically get tagged as incomplete and auto-rejected.)

Well, the e-mail field is apparently not required, but that sort of leaves me confused. Should I just fill the required fields, leave the e-mail one blank, and mail the forms myself?

I just found this in the Common App Support Center for applicants:

Does this answer your question?

Yes, thank you so much for that! =D
