Sorry guys about asking this cuz this question has probably popped up countless times, but I have a question about teacher recs. I have looked at the online apps for the colleges I'm going to apply to and for some reason I can't find how many teacher recs are required. Is there an alternative site where I can go and it'll tell me this info? Currently I have 1 teacher and 1 guidance rec. Here are the schools I'm looking into:

Elon
UMCP
PSU
James Madison
SUNY Stony Brook
SUNY Albany
Then either Villanova, Quinnipiac, or Loyola College (Md) depending on the october SAT's.

Are some of you maybe applying to these schools and know the number of teacher recs required?

Elon: does not require teacher recommendations (send one-two in anyway)
UMCP: 1 recommendation from teacher and counselor (forms on website)
Penn State: not required (except for honors college, 2 required at least)
James Madison: 1 recommendation (only-do not send in more than 1)
SUNY albany: 1 teacher/counselor letter of recommendation
SUNY stonybrook: not required (send one in anyway)
Villanova: not required (send one in anyway)
Quinniapac: optional (forms on website)
Loyola: 1 required (of any type)

Thanks a lot for the response, but I also have another follow up question. Since according to fa-la's post, I only need to send in 1 teacher rec to my colleges, should I indeed send in 1 or should I ask another teacher and send in 2. I know that my teacher rec will be dynomite, and if I ask the second teacher, she'll write a good one but she doesn't know me like the other teacher. Should I just stay put with one or does it look better with two?
