<p>There is probably a greater chance of misplaced recs if you don’t have them do it online. Probably you won’t have a problem for them mailing them in, but you should make sure to verify online that UMD has noted that they have received them. Additional recs won’t hurt you, but at a place like UMD that is so numbers driven, I really don’t think they will be of much value.</p>
