finally got on my son to tell his one teacher his application is in jeopardy and not turning it in could hurt his chances of being considered. My son had asked him Spring of his junior year then again in September and Oct. been supplied with resumes and notes. His last excuse was he forgot but will get it in this week. I just don’t understand this. Now my question is, when will MIT no longer consider your application if a recommendation is missing? Interviewer hasn’t turned his in either I see, but I’m assuming there’s nothing we can do about that.
MIT will generally email all applicants with missing application pieces and give them a chance to email or fax anything that’s missing. This usually happens around the first week in February, IIRC.
If the interviewer hasn’t turned in his summary, there’s usually a “conducted interview” form for the applicant to fill out, and then bugging the interviewer becomes MIT’s problem.
Ok got it. So there is still some time. Thank you!
