Give an example why.
Ex. I hated the way my APUSH teacher taught because all he did was read the chapter to the class everyday, never focused on writing (we had writing tests but there was no point because he never graded them), and was just really boring, especially for a 1st period. He was a nice guy SOMETIMES. I remember I was late to his class and he called me out. Then a few minutes later, another student walked in late, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS FACE, and he never said a word about it and continued reading. And I wasn't even a troublemaker. I did all my homework, was quiet in class, never pass notes or anything of the kind, worked in class, and got an A.
I love my AP Bio teacher, though. He's a chill college-kind-of-teacher and really knows his stuff. Plus, he's nice and funny, rarely gives homework but does gives us opportunities to raise our grades (i.e. extra credit labs).

Teacher I hated: My eighth grade Life skills teacher because she picked favorites, and didn’t really teach us about life at all. Instead she missed half the school year getting knocked up with her 4 child. (Insider @ my old middle school. She was known for getting pregnant a lot) I got into many fights with her, and almost got me in serious trouble :S

Teacher I love: My Pre-Vet/Horticulture teacher. I’m in her Pre-Vet class now and she’s the best. I took her horticulture class in the 9th grade she was really nice and encouraging. Thanks to her I won Reserved Champion for my plant science poster and my 2 flower arrangements.

I adore my advanced composition teacher. She’s super funny and nice. She’s young, too, and always has funny stories to share about her kids. She’s really encouraging and gives us something to ponder on once a week. Plus, the only homework we have is to write one essay a week. And she grades more legitely than any other English teacher I’ve ever had. She’s tough and docks a lot of points for small mistakes, but she gives grace and doesn’t lower my grade for stupid things.

I don’t like my biology teacher a whole lot. She doesn’t teach us anything that the textbook doesn’t say. And she’s super disorganized. We start class thirty minutes late every time because she’s busy saying very unrelated things, she lets the students distract her, and I am always very confused as to what is expected of me and when the assignments are due. But she’s funny and I’m getting my highest grade in that class, so I don’t hate her. ;P

I hated my stats teacher. She knew basically nothing about stats, admitted to being a terrible teacher, and played favorites quite obviously.

I LOVE my band director. I was terrified of him my freshman year, but my sophomore year I started to like him. He’s a great director and theory teacher. He’s really encouraging and hilarious. Last year I struggled with a lot of personal issues, and if I was having a rough time during school I could go to his office and talk about anything with him. He would listen and give me advice and offer to kick people’s a**es for me. I can’t begin to describe how much that meant to me. Plus, he has an absolutely adorable little baby girl I get to babysit for sometimes.

I had a bad Chemistry teacher, but the class may have also been part of it. She taught at a level perhaps appropriate for middle school students and allowed blatant cheating on tests and quizzes, which were almost all easy conceptual multiple choice. It didn’t help that most people in the class, other than me, were quite dim witted.

Also, my English teacher this year is absolutely insufferable. She gives the most asinine assignments, which she teaches about pedantically. She has us learn very basic vocabulary and write either simplistic text or verbose pontifications such as Emerson’s Nature.

However, I have had excellent math and science teachers these past couple years and that’s what really matters.

I didn’t really care for my 9th grade choir teacher. She wasn’t even qualified to teach choir! All she did was show off on the piano for the entire class because she’s supposedly a concert pianist. She was also emotionally unstable and picked the most awful songs for us to sing.

I love my AP World History teacher! He’s hilarious so he makes class fun, but he still challenges us and I feel like I’m being prepared for the AP exam.

I hated my 9th grade bio teacher. As a person, he’s a nice guy, but basically has no clue how to teach. He just picked out some random stuff from our textbook and skated over it without properly explaining it, and would lose people’s assignments ALL the time. And if he lost it, you would have to do it again to get credit, which was completely unfair.

I loved my history teacher last year, though. He had a really excellent sense of humor, and always threw in these interesting facts while lecturing so you wouldn’t get too bored. Unlike my bio teacher, he was probably one of the most organized people I’ve ever met.

I hated my Geometry teacher. She didn’t teach me anything. >.< Anytime anyone had help she would just tell us to ask our group, but our group never knew anything. I was lucky to be able to pull off a C at the end of both semesters…

My favorite teacher? That’s too hard. It’d probably be Leadership teacher in middle school. Helped me out tons and motivated me to get involved a lot. Plus he was a cool guy and was pretty funny.

Teacher I hate: My freshman English teacher. She was a horrible teacher and was the first and only teacher ever to accuse me of cheating. I was turning in a paper after class and we were rushing to get to tennis practice. So my friend took out her paper and I took it from her and turned them in together since I was closer and all of a sudden I’m cheating…
Teacher I love: My math teacher! I’ve had him for three years and I’ve taken every single class that he’s taught. Just an all-around cool guy.

I adore my junior year English teacher. She is my time-traveling twin. She’s brilliant and one of the most genuinely kind ladies I’ve ever met. She’s also hilarious. When I was having a difficult time with things she was one of the teachers who was really genuinely there for me. I LOVE her!

As for teachers I dislike, well. One of them communicated to administrators that she “didn’t believe” I had a disability despite diagnoses and school accommodations. I didn’t remain in her class for much longer. Other than that most of my teachers have some merits even if I dislike personal things about them.
