Hopefully in a year and a half i will happily on my way to northeastern. But what am i supposed to do with my home computer? I have a laptop that was issues by my high school and is not that good. I do all of my work on my home desktop and I would like to take it to college with me (along with my playstation). Would you say that it would be a good idea to bring them along with me? I'd hate for all that money I spent on them to go to waste but I dont want to bring them along if they are going to be vandalized or stolen. would you say that your possessions are safe in the dorms? Or is there even room for a desktop computer with a 23'' screen?

Your stuff will probably be safe in dorms, but stuff being stolen isn’t unheard of. Playstations are fine to bring, and you could bring a desktop if you REALLY have no other choice, but a desktop is massively inconvenient. You really want the flexibility of bringing a laptop to class, to the library, to meet up with friends in study/project groups, etc. I know they’re pricey, but you should think about getting a laptop before college.

But either way, if you’re only a junior, you probably don’t need to be to concerned with logistics of college life yet.
