Television Cartoon FAVS

Apparently The Flintstones debuted this week in 1960.

What was your favorite CARTOON (not just childrens show) AND how about your kid/s fav CARTOON.

Cartoon = Animated

So Sesame Street, not a cartoon.

For me it was The Jetsons
For my kids, definitely Arthur.

No Pokémon at my house , but YES to Scooby Doo!

I admit to being annoyed at Rocky and Bullwinkle as a kid. I think Bullwinkle seeming kind of dense made me ! Fits with my adult attitude for that behavior too - lol.

Fun topic!

For me: Kimba the White Lion Kimba the White Lion Theme Song - YouTube and Marine Boy Marine Boy Intro - YouTube (I think I had a crush on Marine Boy…)

I liked the Jetsons and the Flintstones. Several Bugs Bunny ones were fun too.

For my kids it was Magic School Bus and Arthur.

I forgot the Magic Schoolbus…that was a favorite in my house as well.

I liked the Jetsons too. Interesting to think George Jetson’s birth date was supposedly July 31, 2022

For me, the Jetsons. For years I wanted to live exactly like them. H loved Bugs Bunny and still quotes the show from time to time.

For my kids, it was Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck.

How interesting that George Jetson was a pandemic baby.

Definitely The Far Side!

Isn’t that a comic - not a cartoon???

I was a Flintstones, The Jetsons and any Looney Tunes cartoon fan - but also enjoyed Rocky & Bullwinkle, especially as I got older.

My D loved Aahhh! Real Monsters, Doug, and Rugrats.

Jamie and the Magic Torch, Danger Mouse, The Jetsons, Bugs Bunny.

Here I come to save the day - that means that Mighty Mouse is on the way.

Me - Super Friends, Scooby Doo, and Looney Tunes come to mind first.

Kids - Naruto was definitely a favorite. Trying to think of when they were little. Dragon tales, Dora?

I looked it up…and it is listed as a one frame cartoon.

We’re you looking for TV shows? If so, maybe that should be in the title. There were a lot of cartoons that were stills.

Great one.

The early ones had to have been written while in a chemically induced trance. Remember the Mole Family and “walk water,” which allowed trees and rocks to walk? Completely whacko, but still great.

Ted Knight was the original narrator, and Casey Kasem voiced Robin:

Johnny Quest
Sherman and Mr. Peabody
Rocky and Bullwinkle.

One time I was overly fidgety in church and was threatened with no Rocky and Bullwinkle. When Mom carried out her threat, believe me, I was an angel in church moving forward!!

For those of us that are older and spent our 60s in front of the small tv, here is a nice reminder of what we were watching!

I was more of a sitcom kid, but enjoyed the Jetsons, Underdog, Magilla Gorilla, plus anything my mother would let us watch! My parents would not limit our tv time, so while dad was working on Saturdays, you would find my brother and I, in our pjs, in front of the tv. So different from my grandkids, who have limited tv time.
