Tell me if this courseload is a good idea.

CHEM 14C. Structure of Organic Molecules w/ Hardinger

HNRS 64. Neuroscience and Psychology of Art and Biology of Aesthetics w/ Zaidel

LIFESCI 2. Cells, Tissues, and Organs w/ Phelan

MATH 3B. Calculus for Life Sciences Students w/ whoever

fiat lux

I don't know if I can do all that. I want to drop the honors class, but I need honors units. Does Hardinger have honors whatsits for 14C like Lavelle did for 14A and 14B?

There's an Honors Contract link on Hardinger's website.

Dr. Hardinger's Organic Chemistry Page - UCLA

Be prepared to put in a good amount of time into LS2 and Chem 14C. Having Math 3B also would make that a full enough load, if you're involved in other clubs or activities.

Depends on how much work HNRS 64 is. And, remember to take fiat lux only if you're genuinely interested in it.

Yes, I'm genuinely interested in it. :)

Thanks for the link. I was searching his page but didn't think to look on the menu.

Honors Contracts in Hardinger Classes <-- Jesus Christ that sounds intimidating as hell. Has anyone done an honors contract with Hardinger before?

If you look at his Tutorials section, students have written up tutorials as honors projects. I think the best example would be the Carbocations one for 14D.

haha i might take HNRS 64 too cuz i need honors units

Yeah, but it does say on the page that generally, tutorials are harder than research papers.

Though a tutorial does sound like more my style. :/

So I think now it comes down to Hardinger's honors contract vs. the Honors Collegium class.

Are you going to take LS2 with Phelan?

would it be ridiculous to take two honors collegium courses in one quarter? what's the workload like?

To MrSpam: Si. Join me?

Phelan is really cool. I heard that he's wicked hard though. But his classes are entertaining.

Yes I am. I'm doing Tuesday discussion from 1-4

Ok...so I didn't read the topic again. I'm a bad CC'er.

I'm going for 2F or 2G. They're both Wednesday afternoon.

two HC's in one quarter isn't bad. unless one of them is HC70A. this class IS two workloads in one...

but otherwise, i think you'll be okay.

sorry one more question but should i use my honors priority on my two honors seminars (64 and 58)? do they generally fill up quickly...or should i use my priority on my other class...?

thanks

Of course it's not bad... it's called not being a slacker.

...in addition to being a bad person.

Mr. Etti - email your professor about their policies on their classes possibly being impacted. Forge a relationship, demonstrate your interests, and hopefully, shimmy your way into that desired HC.

i generally use priority on whichever classes are closest to being full. especially small ones without waitlists. so just play it by ear.

How am I a bad person?

Ugh, Honors 64 got filled up to the priority cap by the time I got to it. I'd try by first pass, but my first pass time is yucky. :<

lol. my priority doesn't even start until tomorrow night... blah >.<

the hell...honors 58 and 64 got filled to priority

im screwed
