Alskdjflas you guys… my “topic of interest” essay on the Greek debt crisis is 1,482 words. I really didn’t expect it to reach that length, and but yay it did!

But I’m kinda scared that the readers might get bored with it, since it’s mostly economics and stuff, and then they’ll just give up on reading my app. Idk. And I haven’t even started my other two essays. D:

@vivendium i think that if it’s something that you really care about maybe it’ll show through in the essay and make it better and more interesting? And I still have to choose a topic for the topic of interest essay :(

@vivendium Im worried too my topic of interest is about the same length. I agree with samejeans, if you wrote about something that you are passionate about then your essay should be more interesting and engaging

those are really good essays i agree! I’m kinda stuck with my essay on my field/topic of interest now…I hope I can make it before the deadline passes! Good luck to you guys with your app as well :)

Just started my essays yesterday, at about 200 words for all of them except the first one which I have no idea what to write about! Good luck guys, don’t be like me!

My app is finally in… How long were you r guys essays. My challenge one and write about what your passionate in ones wee almost 1500, but my other two others were only 850.

Vivendium, I totally understand. My essay is that length and is about the media using the death of trayvon martin to influence political agendas. I hope people don’t get bored!

elle822: same here!! I find both my topics and even my way of writing similar to those sample essays. geez! oh well i’m being more than honest about my point of view…so i think i’m fine.

Is it alright to argue multiple points in the critical analysis and describe each one in a separate paragraph? Is it better instead to stick with only one point?

Sorry if this has already been asked.

Also, is it necessary to use direct quotations from the text in the analysis, or is describing the text just as good?

@Leela357 I think that whatever you want to argue about can work and there’s no set rule for what to write about, so go with the multiple points if you think you can write a good essay.

And I would recommend using direct quotations, since it provides more proof for your argument
