@adam2k17 It says on Temple’s website that the peak admission time is from October to March. So we are right in that time!
@photowoman Aw, dang. Oh well, I just hope the answer is yes! I was recently accepted to Pace University and Suffolk University and am hoping to add Temple to that list. Wish me luck!
Just got accepted! Applied on November 30th
Anyone recently accepted? The forum, and my D’s portal have been so so quiet! Lol!
@photowoman I called today and they said a decision has been made on my application and she said I should check my email but I didn’t and I didn’t see anything. So when I checked the portal it said “Your application is currently on hold. Please check your email for further details.” idk what that means. I’m hoping to get in.
Hi @bbaker10 I actually received the same message today. I’m not exactly sure what it means but has your S found out anything new yet?
@brightstar22 Hi! I had my S check the portal again, and it has the same message, “your application is currently on hold”. My understanding is that this is similar to being deferred, so I don’t expect him to find anything out until March or so. Ugh, this is stressful stuff!!! Lol
Just got accepted yesterday around 12pm!!

It is very stressful. Has your S sent in anything different since his notification? @bbaker10
I received my acceptance letter in December, but I still haven’t heard anything on merit scholarships. I am an OOS, and my letter says something along the lines of “all students will hear back about scholarships by March 1.” Is anyone else still waiting?
When my D was accepted to Temple the merit scholarship was included in our acceptance letter that we viewed in the portal but not included in the original letter. (Weird)
@OldCheermomDC Yeah, that’s what I figured would happen but this is what was in the letter:
“All admitted students are considered for academic scholarships, which range from a minimum of
$3000 to full tuition. The availability of funding and the size, quality, and characteristics of the
overall pool of admitted students will determine the number and value of academic scholarships
awarded. Scholarship notification will be made no later than March 1, 2017.”
Would it be safe to say that i should wait, or that I may not have gotten anything? If you don’t get anything, do they notify you of that?
@DayKnight I wouldn’t assume anything just yet. Your letter is different than what we received. We received $5K a year and are now waiting for the financial aid portion to post. So hold on a little longer.
Thanks @OldCheermomDC, if anyone else is in a similar situation and have heard back in any way, and could let me know, it would be very much appreciated.
@bbaker10 @brightstar22 Where are you seeing this message? Is it on the welcome tab?
@brightstar22 His mid-year grades come out this week, so as soon as he gets those, he will submit his updated transcript as well as awards that he has won since applying back in October. Did you do the same thing?
@photowoman Yes, as soon as you log into the portal and see the “To Do” Box in the middle of the page, it was in that box.
@DayKnight If you received any award, your merit scholarship should be mentioned in your official decision letter. If nothing is mentioned there, then you didn’t get anything.
Can anyone tell me what the portal will look like once accepted? Will I get an email telling me to check my portal when the decision is made? Or will the letter come in the mail before the portal is updated? I’m going crazy here!
