Temple Class of 2019

mtbd, if you are willing to risk $200, you could send in enrollment deposit to Temple, it is nonrefundable if you don’t attend. you would then have to submit $250 for a housing deposit but that should be refundable in full if you withdraw it by May 1st. this is not ideal but it would get you spot in a dorm if you decide to attend Temple, which dorms are full and where are there still openings? and are you honors student? i ask because they have reserved housing.

@mtbd1996, which dorm halls are already full? Do you know if 1300 has room for all honors students? My son is still waiting on school also.

daveenmame. get in touch with the honors dept but i think they try to keep the 3rd floor of 1300 reserved for honors freshmen so your son should be ok. i would contact honors directly though and get their input/ i am sure other kids have been in your son’s boat over the years so the honors dept should have some real world guidance on how that should work out.

I heard 1300 for non-honors is full and so is 1940. Last week I heard Morgan was getting full. As for honors, there are spots left! Sorry if I freaked people out. I just realized I won’t be able to attend :frowning:

@davenmame‌ ^^

Morgan is getting full…? Where did you get that information from? I sent in my deposit today and i was planning on getting a room in morgan. Is there a possibility that there are still rooms left?

How much space is left in 1300 for Honors housing? I was planning on committing after receiving my acceptances and rejections on April 1st, but if it is already pretty full, maybe I should consider putting down a deposit this weekend.

http://honors.temple.edu/honors-experience/living-learning-community-1300 here are some Q and A about honors housing

@Dreamer05‌ from peoe who enrolled and did housing already! You can see the info on the Facebook group.

@giangnam As I can see you are vietnamese too. So Hello! I also received an acceptance package from Temple University. In the package, there is an acceptance letter, stating your admission and your scholarship. In my acceptance letter, I have been named as a President’s Scholar which carries a full tuition scholarship and an addition $4000 for further educational enhancement

Hi everyone! I am a newly accepted international student. My name is Hoang. I come from Vietnam. My stats:
SAT: 2040
GPA: 8.9/10
Second prize in English in Municipal Competition in 10, 11, 12
Just a few extracuricular activities:
Volunteer at Hope Village(an orphanage) for 400 hours
Scout Girl for a half year
Volunteer at a Higher Education Fair
Member of Swimming member at school
My family can only contribute $14000 a year so I am very happy to be given full tuition scholarship from Temple, an additional $4000 for further education enhancement and to be accepted to Temple’s Honor Program. I am still waiting for Hendrix College and Luther College, at which I am about to study Pre-pharma. My parents say that because my family is poor so it would be hard for me to study pharmacy. So there is a high chance of my joining you guys at Temple. I don’t know what to study at Temple, maybe Actuarial Science because I am good at Math. Any advice guys? Thank you so much.

congrats @hoangho‌ ! thats a great accomplishment! I think you should go for pharm if that is you really want! If money really is a concern its probably best to consult with the math department at Temple.

@mtbd Money is really a problem. Pharma costs so much and takes too much time for a poor International Student like me. In the end I will study Actuarial Science because I prefer Applied Mathematics to Pure Math and I prefer Algebra to Math as a whole and I do like analysis and logical writing.
