My son was admitted to Temple today (via the web site). He is still waiting for his big red envelope.
He applied in late August and was accepted yesterday. He will major in computer science. So, the admissions have started to roll out! Best of luck to everyone!
Our son should have his app in soon. He’s hoping his weighted GPA is enough for the full tuition scholarship. Wife is taking him up for a visit a couple of weekends from now.
Hello! I am applying for Temple soon. I’m from way down in Alabama, but Temple is my first choice. I will also be going into computer science, so maybe I’ll meet your son! :^)
FYI -I think the letter of acceptance may take a while. My son was accepted via the portal on 10/12 and he still has not received his letter (almost two weeks later).
My stats for acceptance into temple’s nursing major were 2110 SAT (740 R, 650 M, 720 W), and 3.65 UW GPA, 3.8 W GPA. i have not received the letter yet.
My son still has not received his official letter. He was accepted on 10/12.
He was accepted into computer science and his stats are average:
3.5 gpa
1780 SAT
Two AP course and 4 dual enrollment classes
D was accepted to engineering. 4.2W GPA and 33 ACT, 6 AP classes, ton of ECs. Pretty sure she will get the Presidntial Scholarship. Waiting for letter. @mstomper - Temple scholarships are automatic. If your son has the GPA and scores, he will get the award. You can appeal if you are close to a different level. Good luck!
PhilaSkiMom, the reason we don’t know what scholarship he’ll get is that Temple weights the GPA. His unweighted GPA is between 3.3 and 3.4, but his GPA as weighted by his school is 4.0. We know that PE, Health, and possibly a couple of other classes. If they weight it anywhere close to his high school he’ll be good to go.
