I’m having an incredibly hard time deciding between schools. I’m from Gaithersburg, MD and I’m majoring in kinesiology. I was accepted to both schools, and I find temple to be more fitting for me. However, UConn has been my dream school since 8th grade and I just can’t seem to decide. I’ve been seeking advice from just about everyone and I still can’t seem to make a decision so I decided to come here to see if I could get more insight. Thanks!
Is cost a factor? Why is Temple more “fitting” but UConn is your dream school?
In total, Temple is 37 a year and UConn is 45k, I received 11k a semester from Temple but I have yet to hear back from UConn. and when I visited Temple, I just felt like I would fit in with the people more
Philly is certainly a more exciting place to be than Storrs, and Temple’s men’s basketball team is ahead of UConn within their conference right now. They meet for final regular season game on Saturday in Philly.
I’d go with the cheapest :). Wait till you hear back, but Temple’s Kinesiology is excellent, and the city is exciting. It is, however, in a dangerous part of town, so you have to balance that with the rural location of UConn (ie., being street smart but close to a big city’s center, or being in a safe, but rural location).
