Temple University Class of 2025 Discussion Thread

@Clementine7624 I agree with your assessment. If you are out-of-state, I would guess there might be a little more chance at merit. There are really so many factors: that could go into a merit award: extracurriculars, leadership roles, awards, etc.

I applied to Temple EA last week, but I don’t know much about their admissions process. Do they accept on a rolling basis? Or is it like other colleges where there is a decision day when everyone finds out?

@Clementine7624

From last year’s thread, look like Temple will made the decision on a rolling basis. The time frame was in early November.

My D also applied EA to Temple on Oct 2. and still hasn’t received acceptance yet. Perhaps, we will hear their decision in late November since they moved the EA deadline from 11/01 to 11/15.

Good luck to you and everybody who applied.

@riverandsasha3 As @ttb1263 said, decisions in the past started rolling in in early November but might be delayed due to the extended EA deadline. Good luck to all!

Can you guys chance me ?
gpa- 3.4 (college prep, honors, IB, and AP classes)

On my TUportal, it says that my “application is currently unavailable.” Before, it had my basic information and the degree I was applying for. Now, it has this message under both “Your Profile” and “Next Steps.” Is anyone having the same problem? Or does anyone know what this means?

Thanks!

@riverandsasha3

Same here. Maybe they do maintenance or hoping that they are update system before posting the decision.

Same on my D’s portal too.

Same

So weird. Son does not have that message on his portal… Maybe they are updating acceptances in waves and they are updating yours now or maybe it goes by school? It would be great to hear sooner rather than later. Son is applying for Engineering.

@momandslp

I think they just did maintenance or some hiccup. My D’s portal was back to original status with “complete and awaiting a decision!” in couple hours.

@momandslp I’m applying for engineering, too! Good luck to your son!

@riverandsasha3 Thank you! You too!!

My son applied for Rome as his first choice campus. Does anyone know if he will also be considered for Philly automatically?

Many of you probably know from this thread that I turned in my EA application not too long ago. I just randomly checked my portal and it now says “University Acceptance” instead of “Complete Ready For Review.” This just seems so incredibly early for them to be giving out decisions, especially since I submitted my application so late. Does this mean the university has started reviewing my application? Or did I actually get in?

@riverandsasha3

I also see the same message with a green “Admitted” in TU’s Portal. Any expert in the house, who can translate what we are seeing ? :slight_smile:

From what I read in 2024 thread, this is a first sign of acceptance and the Next Step will be update in couple days.

Good luck to all !!!

Wow, Next Steps in TU Portal is now updated with :
You have been accepted - that’ s great! Save your place by paying your enrollment and housing deposits. …"

From last year’s thread, they will send out official letter in couple days.

Now hoping for some merit !!!

Son also has the Next Steps updated with the acceptance info! So happy!! Looking forward to the letter and hopefully a little merit. Go Owls!!!

On the Costs and Aid tab, there is now a section that says “Financial Aid Package.” However, when I click it, it takes me to a page that has an error. Does anyone know when this will be updated? Also, with this show merit awards as well?

Congratulations all !!

Son got accepted also today BS - Comp sci

Don’t see any merit scholarship when they typically announce scholarships?
How do you compare Temple Vs UDel for computer science ?
