Temple University

Some classes usually late afternoon and evening are also taught in Center City Phila (15th an Market St), and out in the burbs on the Ambler campus. There are free schuttles. Social life question depends on you. Proximity to downtown is about 2 miles on the subway. So there can be a ton of nightlife for those so inclined.

It's a decently respected school thats relatively easy to get into. Plus, its pretty cheap since its a state school.

People can defend the campus safety all they want, but if you wander off campus after dark (or even in the day for that matter) you will be scared as hell.

I've never been remotely scared.

its internationally reputed since its got a university here in japan too...and its very well known here...so yeah...i guess thts why...!?

Also because we have a good amount of internationals (many of whom go home to work after graduating), and also many here eventually do business overseas.

I a few minutes from Temple.
The college isn't all that..
Undergraduate isnt hard to get into, but if you want to go into the medical field dont expect it to be easy. It gets competitive.

It's ok, one of my backup schools.
The area isnt too bad, because they have increased security, I see them all the time.

You might want to consider Drexel University too.

In terms of what? Where in PA are you?

I live in West Philadelphia.
When i mean it "isnt all that" im comparing it to other schools in PA
Univeristy of Pittsburgh, Lehigh University, UofPenn, Carnegie Mellon.

Dont get me wrong, the school isnt bad. I heard its great from a few students. I guess i just phrased it wrong.

In my opinion its better than St. Joes', Newman, and although people may not agree with me, penn state
especially if your talking about med school

I don't think Pitt is a better school. Temple is definitely better than St. Joe's and Neumann. I dont think anyone disagrees with that. Lehigh, Penn and CMU are all totally different schools.
