Testing Bureau and Math Placement Test

I'm filling through the pre-orientation hw at the moment. I have a question about whether or not I need to actually take the math placement test. I recieved a 4 on the Calculus B/C AP exam. i also scored, like many others, an 800 on the level 2 math subject test. If I simply don't take it, will i be penalized? I have all the documentation for the other papers which I can provide. And, I've gotten mixed answers from orientation and the testing bureau and i've been unable to contact my advisors. BTW I'm in CAS and a BioSci major. Any help would be great!

Just spend 30 minutes and take it, its not going to have an effect on your placement in any way. The highest level you can be placed into from the test is Calculus I. Since you’ve already completed that, you can choose what you want to take.

Yes, 40/40… totally psyched myself out there. thanks!
