Texas Schools

I realize my class rank and GPA definitely hurt my chances to any school, but I wanted some feedback on what my chances are, and I’m completely open to any suggestions(school recommendations, etc.). I will be applying for physics(1st) and economics(2nd).

Do you have financial need? You’ll get almost nothing from SMU academically.

A&M is tough. Top 25% ranking and 30+ ACT get auto admit. TX publics care so much about Class rank it will hurt you. I do think the ACT will get you in though.

Baylor and A&M are on about the same level so I think you’ll get in.

SMU is a reach and UT a high reach

I’m planning on applying for financial aid. My EFC is around $800, after filing my FAFSA, so need aid is probably mandatory.

Looks like you may qualify for assured admission at UT Dallas:
