Texas Tech help

I am an Afircan American female. I am 56 % in my class. My gpa is a 2.93. My Sat are 990 Critical reading and Math. I wrote four essays. I sent 3 letters of recommendation. I am a legacy. Do I have a shot

Rather than guesses from the peanut galley (my guess plus a buck gets you some cheap coffee) as to whether Tech will admit you, my recommendation is for you to contact the Tech regional admissions office in your area (look it up on Tech’s website) and then talk to an admissions person specifically about you. (I am familiar with one Tech Admissions person from the DFW Office who is very helpful and empathetic to applicants like you.) They can discuss alternatives - community college such as South Plains College in Lubbock or Collin College in Collin County, etc. - that can still get you to Tech eventually if your admission to the main campus is iffy.

Thank you so much for responding
