Texas tech. Help!

POSTED THREAD EALIER..

Hey there, i'm new to this site...
Well, i'm thinking about getting into Texas Tech University and i just need to know if my "basic" Stats match the school's assured admission. Also, i'm currently a Junior and haven't took the SAT yet, however i took the PSAT:

-Made an 1600 on PSAT
- GPA 5.3 on a 6.0 scale (Still as a Junior)
-Ranked in Quarter 2 in my HS (very big and competitive school)
-Took 2 clubs and i would be able to join a Foreign Language Honor society at the end of Year.

-i'm expecting to score a 1300 on SAT IF I'M LIKE SICK OR ON THE VIERGE OF DIEING.. LIKE THE WORST CASE SCENARIO.. because of took SOO many practice tests is not even funny..(i'm talking Kaplan, College Board, Priceton, etc.. 2 editons of EACH:.)

So that's my "Background"..
Also, i'm wondering about if i have a chance of getting in TAMU or U of H.
I just need a confidence boost on how i'm doing before next year comes.
PLZ HELP.

1300 on CR/M or composite? For composite you should be aiming higher, but if you got 1300 in CR/M you should have no problem getting in.

i got a 130 is PSAT composite.
Like let say i got a 1300 on SAT, what would happen? (Theoretically)

But you wrote you had 160 on the PSAT? With a 1300 composite you would have pretty rough chances at A&M and UH, but might still have somewhat of a chance at Tech. Honestly though, usually only kids who go into the testing room not even knowing what an SAT is or how it’s formatted get that low of a score on the test. It seems you have been preparing for it a bit so there’s a good chance you end up with a score better than 1300. You’re still a junior with months to study, too.

Good luck!

Try a test-optional school as well, if you really scored 1300 composite; however, if you scored 1300 CR+M, you are just fine.

@nientiendoguy sorry, i’ve been typing my info totally wrongly…
By the way here’s is Tech Assured admission Link:

[First-Time Freshmen Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ttu.edu/index.php/admission-financial_aid/first-time-freshmen/)

What i’m trying to say is, let’s pretend i score a 1300 on the REAL SAT, do i like fall in the category of assured admission, since i’m currently in Quarter 2 in my HS? (I’m trying to go low as possible :D, i really didn’t get any of these scores…) Or are they going to Review me?

This link assumes that you score 1230+ as CR+M… not 1300 as CR+M+W…
