This is a general thank you to all the participants on the Parents Forum and to the board management and moderators who make our interaction possible. Thank you very much for sharing information, encouragement, second opinions, and just plain pleasant conversation. I had to smile at a thread where I was lurking recently, in which one parent related that he originally intended to land on CC to ask a few informational questions and then never come back again. He's still here, and I'm still here, and I look forward to seeing all of you here in the months (years?) to come. This is a wonderful online community and resource--just what my parents should have had when their children were deciding what to do after high school.

Best wishes to all of your children for many satisfying years of learning. May the enjoy their studies and be empowered to make a positive difference for their families and neighbors. Have a peaceful holiday season wherever in the world you are, and have a happy New Year.

Tokenadult, what a lovely post. Thank you for so graciously expressing what so many, I am sure, feel. I am forwarding your message to all the moderators .
Best wishes to you and your family for this lovely season and the new year!

Thank you and Merry Christmas from my household as well. We took your advice to apply to one school with rolling admissions to take the pressure off so to speak at this time of year. The acceptance arrived yesterday with a scholarship! It was the best Christmas present ever and there was a sparkle in my son's eyes as he opened the envelope. It's not over for us but it feels a whole lot better. Thank you!

there are probably private areas to the message boards that we don't have access to. posts made in those areas wouldn't come up when we view the profile. :)

It's already 2005 in some time zones as I type this. I wish everyone a happy holiday season.

My condolences to the many CC participants who have family and friends along the Indian Ocean rim where the earthquake and tsunami have caused so much suffering. Best wishes for reunion of surviving family members and rebuilding of homes. My family lived through Taiwan's severe earthquake in 1999, so we definitely feel your pain.
