Hi... I just want to say "thank you to Admissions Daniel."

why?

I'm an international student who is studying in America, and I came the United states a little late than other international students... so I don't have bunch of information about applying colleges, admitting process in colleges, etc. When I became a senior, I searched many colleges that I really want to try to be admitted and find the place where I can start my new journey. Finally, I found the place, Johns Hopkins University!!

By one step and one step, I tried to find valuable information and really want to know "the secret of admission process..." and I found this kind of college discussion area...

Yeah~ and I could approach Johns Hopkins blog...

Oh my god... through this blog, I was sure I could get much "priceless information..." Originality of admission process in Johns Hopkins University....

... one day My counselor told me she went to college seminar held in Pittsburgh, and she said she met one Admission officer from Johns Hopkins... After that I was really curious what things happened in that conference...Needless to say, oh yeah... I found one blog about this conference written by offiecer Daneil..... it was so impressive and happy to me.

Comparative other good schools, I think it seems like just my personal appreciation, I want to say "Thank you" to Admissions Daniel...
If there was no Admissions Daniel's effort in order to offer studnets helping-infomation, many applicants would sit down their chair and just wait for decision without any actively updated message...

Let's leave a message guys about JHU blog ~

Just reading your blogs about admissions and early decisions and everything makes me have faith in the Johns Hopkins Admissions process. Your posts have really made me feel as if I have a chance, even though my SAT scores suck compared to the students. And if it weren't for reading your posts and everything, I don't think I would've applied because I wouldn't have felt like I had an actual chance.

Its also really nice of you to keep replying to posts even though you've posted to answer a million times. We must drive you crazy, sorry!

I really really hope that you were the one that read my application and made the decision- because you seem to have alot of experience (obviously you do) and know which students are a perfect fit.
If I get into Johns Hopkins, I defintely want to come meet you and talk to you. I also want to become a part of the admissions team and help sort out and organize the files.

I think everyone else feels as grateful as I do. You really have helped bring us out of the dark about JHU. We know you are not required to do what you do, but you do it anyway :) Thanks for everything!

def. thanks! i remember almost having a heart attack regarding essay #1, thinking that my movie wouldn't be acceptable. but ur post answered my question, u said that movies, cds, art, are ok and that kids even sent food and things that they created in past years.

big sigh of relief there. i almost scraped i for a more traditional essay. thankfully i didn't because it would have ment that I wasted 60+ hours shooting, organizing and editing, for nothing.

lol i have nothing on my profile. but ur right Billhpike... u might have something there since it is almost final decision time for ED at JHS.

Out of thousands of applications? That would probably take a lot of time, and would work for someone who didn't have a life. But I'm pretty sure Mr. Daniel has a life and alot of stuff do already- so I don't think he'd go about looking for our applications.

Maybe, but in response to your behavior in [thread=264725]another thread[/thread] he said:

Because you are nervous about whether or not you will get into Hopkins is no reason to attack another student. Yes, these boards are "confidential" but do note that it will not be that hard for me to match up your posts with your application. Personal qualities matter in the application review process, and I think some of you might want to remember that when you are commenting on these threads.

I don't think its really bad to be nice and i know that I'm not really brown nosing. Mr. Daniel helped me and I thanked him as I would to anyone who helped me get through something tough. Period. I don't really think its wrong to be nice and show gratitude regardless of who it is.
