Just wanted to let everyone know that after much debate, I've decided to attend UCLA next fall. Michigan remains my "dream school," but UCLA offered me opportunities that were hard to pass up, distancing themselves from any other school I was considering. But I just wanted to give a quick thanks to everyone who helped me along the way; you're truly great, and I end my application process with great respect for the University of Michigan, its alumni, students, teams and fans. I especially want to thank Alexandre and Maguo (not sure if he posts anymore??), for giving me the confidence to apply early! Best of luck to Michigan '12, and all current and future students. Go Blue!

Good luck at UCLA. It's a pretty kickass school. Enjoy the sun while we're enjoying the snow ;)

haha thanks, hope to see you at the Rose Bowl one of these days!

I wonder if that's meant to be a playful jab at our new football program or you being nice... ;)

Go get 'em, VC, and thanks for the countless insights on these threads. Now the stress is over and you can go HAVE FUN!!!

haha cvjn it was in all seriousness, promise (we have a new coach too :/)...wishing success for the both of us!

It is too bad vc, but given your circumstances, you made the right decision. It is hard for a California resident to turn down in-state tuition at Cal or UCLA in favor of a twice-as-expensive Michigan unless they come from a VERY wealthy family. It just cannot be justified. At any rate, you are going to have a great time at UCLA (which is an elite university in its own right), and you will be close to home, which is always nice.

"Enjoy the sun while we're enjoying the snow"

this is really deep.

I try. I pondered the deep corners of my mind to come up with that.

Thank you to you, vc, you were a really big help on this board!

Good luck at UCLA!
