When does the average student leave for these breaks? Thanks!!
When my daughter was in the dorms, she left for winter break on the Saturday morning after finals ended. She always seemed to have either a final or a project due late on Friday. She only came home for Thanksgiving 2 out of the 4 years, and both times she left on Tuesday night.
Christmas break is usually dictated by a student’s final exam schedule. Thanksgiving is similar.

They already have the final exam schedule up for Fall 2016 for you plan-ahead folks.
DS left for Thanksgiving break Tuesday PM after his last class.
Some kids worked ahead in their classes and left Sunday night - skipping their Monday and Tuesday classes.
southernbound18: UA students do not have classes the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. My son (who had a 9-hr drive) left Tuesday around 4:30 PM, as his Tuesday 3:30 class was cancelled. (None of his other Mon/Tues classes were cancelled. He is an engineering major.)
