<p>I was looking at the Academic calendar and it says that classes don't end until Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving. I was just curious how important it is to go to classes on that Wednesday because my parents want to buy a plane ticket for me and it would be better if I could leave sometime on Tuesday.</p>
<p>I would wait until classes start before you buy any plane ticket. Check to see if you have any major prelim/quiz or reviews that week. If you get lucky, you may even get to leave before Tue, but you will need to speak with your professors before you do anything.</p>
<p>Sometimes you will have an exam or paper due on the Monday before Thanksgiving. As said above, wait to see the syllabus in the fall before booking tickets. I have left on Friday before though. Many profs will cancel class on that Weds as well.</p>
