<p>I was just wondering what the best cell phone carrier down in SoCal, particularily in the San Diego/UCSD area, was.</p>
<p>And what carriers do you guys have, and does it work well?</p>

<p>last time when i visited i had at&t and it was pretty good. of course i was only there for a weekend so didnt have to use my phoen much heh</p>
<p>I live here and I use Verizon, and Ive never really had a problem. That said, I dont think you're going to need to change carriers just for UCSD. Its not in the middle of nowhere after all :P</p>
<p>whatever you do, don't get T-Mobile...it's terrible in San Diego! =(</p>
