Hi, CCs

I am going to NY tomorrow for college visits&summer end vacation. Could any one give me some tips and answer some of my questions plz???

Here's a few question:

1.What's some places or people (ex. admission officer) I should see when I get to the campus? (I saw the timetable for info session and tours, just wonder if there's something that's not on the list)

Is there any chance for me to sit in one class or lecture?

actually that's all my question so far...never visited any colleges in states yet
feel free to give any suggestion and tips

Thanks! :)

you’re not gonna see any of penn in nyc =p

unless you go to the penn club, i suppose

I’d say nah. Penn Admissions is pretty good about presenting you with any resources you’ll need for your visit… there aren’t any little helpful secrets, at least not that I’m aware of. If you’re interested in a certain department, you can try to set up a meeting with the department chair or someone else who can tell you about their program. (For instance I know you can meet with the head of the creative writing program, give him a sample of your writing, etc.)

You may find this helpful: [Penn Admissions: Academics: Penn Courses](http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/academics/courses.php)
I sat in on a class and it definitely helped me picture myself at Penn a lot more than the tour did. Oh, and the students were really welcoming. :)

LOL and yeah, being in NY won’t help you with anything Penn-related. I’m assuming that was a typo.

hehe,I am going to NYC Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
in 8 days…

do i have to make reservation online? does wharton have that?

thanks that helped a lot! just been wondering if they have class on the day of my visit? prolly round Sept.1st

my mistake, I am visiting NYC, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. hehe

freshmen don’t move in until september 2-3, and classes don’t begin until september 9

so if you come on the 1st, you won’t see much in terms of what campus atmosphere is truly like
