Jon Stewart is amazing in his own right, but Colbert does a completely different (and equally effective) show.

I LOVE THEM.

I can't watch the regular news anymore without noticing the absurdity of it all. I only read on-line knews and preffer the news that is right away released so I don't get it with all the spin and gravy.

I LOVE Jon Stewart.
I find Colbert kind of over the top...and it's bothersome watching him, because I know people who really do think the way he acts....even though he's supposed to be satirical.

Stewart's material consists of playing two seconds of edited video clips, making a funny face and then repeating whatever was said in the video in some exaggerated voice. He's funny, but honestly, it gets irritating.

On the other hand, Colbert is just a god. Simple as that. The man understands irony, self-deprecation and the comedic use of esoteric references.

I agree with the above poster. Jon Stewart gets to me for the same reason. That and it's a bit left leaning for me.

Colbert has that slight right influence to it and he is just hilarious. That interview with Al Franken was hilarious. And you have to love the word.

I've never liked Jon Stewart. The only time I've ever watched Jon Stewart was when Colbert was on his show; now, it's worthless. Colbert is a master of irony.

both are amazing... i somehow always miss out on daily show though because of its timing. colbert report definitely seems more random in its references but they do tie in. good stuff.
