Personally I love the colbert report, because stephen doesnt really take a liberal or conservative stance, also, I love the better know a district segment.

I don't know much about the shows. What's the difference of the two shows?

daily show - john levawitz, colber report - stephen colbert

Personally, I don't like Stephen Colbert because he acts kinda elitist but then again he is mocking Bill O'Reilly. John Stewart is just funnier.

Both.

R

How does Colbert not take a liberal or conservative stance, he definitely has a conservative stance.

I'm not sure which is better, but the cookie monster on the Colbert report recently was amazing

^ Are you kidding? The Cookie Monster thing was such BS. I was so ****ed Colbert wasted his time with it except for 1-2 one liners.

Colbert's stance is faux-conservative flavored with faux-gaydom.

I love both. But, Colbert is much more entertaining. I like the correspondents more than Jon for the most part. Seriously Ron Riggle/Jon Oliver MAKE the Daily Show. As we saw during the writers' strike, Stewart can't be funny without his writers; Colbert can.

Although I've always liked the Colbert Report, I'd definitely say that the Daily Show is funnier.

I used to like Colbert Report, but neither are really funny now. It's like the sitcom that used to be good but then started using the same story line over and over again but with different characters. It's kind of depressing actually.

The Daily Show is by far the best. Colbert was funny when he was a correspondent on the Daily Show, but now that he has his own show he gets annoying quickly.

Daily Show - it's far more witty.

colbert because jon stewart makes my skin crawl. He always giggles at his own jokes, etc. I used to like colbert a lot, but now he is starting to do the creepy giggle too...

also, the cookie monster thing was really stupid. His old episodes are a LOT funnier

That's what I think about the Colbert Report whenever I watch it (not necessarily for the Daily Show). It's very repetitious, and the same content seems to be used over and over. Also, whenever anything of significance happens, like Colbert breaking his wrist, the attention given to it is prolonged way past the point of being funny.

daily show

I think both are pretty amazing but I'd have to chose colbert.

Ditto on tehotherside.

Both, but if I have to choose, Colbert.

Anyone who thinks Stephen Colbert takes a conservative stance has no understanding of sarcasm. That being said, I don't really like either show, but I watch Colbert just for "The Word". :)

i use to prefer the daily show, but now i think i like the report better

I just hate how john stewart is a knee jerk liberal. If he was more open minded, or took a different approach, the show would be a lot better.

^ He's not a knee jerk liberal. He really does make fun of everyone. It just so happens that he'll end up making fun of people who are in power more (republicans). His show won't end if Obama wins next year.

I've been watching The Daily Show since 7th grade (I'm a junior now), and unfortunately, I think his show was way funnier back then. The quality and jokes have been getting worse, especially after the writer's strike.

I've been watching Colbert since the show started, and he's been pretty consistent with his level of humor, which I think is high.

Here's how I'd rate it:

Old Daily Show > Colbert > New Daily Show
