Hello everyone! I've been accepted in to a couple of colleges so far and need some help narrowing down my college list. I've been accepted in Temple, Drexel, The University of Scranton, The University of Pittsberg and The University of Central Florida. I need help though, I dont know where I want to go. So I'm asking you all very kindly if you could help me decide. I've visted all the campuses so far except for Central Florida. Does anyone know more about the pre-med Biology program at central florida? Between Temple and Drexel though, which is more reputable?

Pitt is probably the best on your list. I'd choose Drexel over Temple. And UCF is a backup school for Floridians, so I choose any of the above three over them. And Scranton, nah, unless you're a big Office fan and want to live where few others want to. Botton line, I like the city of Pittsburgh, kinder and gentler than Philly, and you can't go wrong w/ a Pitt degree.

There is no reason for you to blow 47k year on Drexel; 36k on Scranton, 25k on UCF. Drexel is better than Temple anyways.

Pittsburgh is hands down the best university on your list, and it is cheap for in-state.

I live in Pittsburgh and know many people that go there. The Pitt campus is very nice, and I consider the area that it is to be college-sque. However, if you are pre-med and would like to go to Pitt for med school, it is very hard to get in. In Pitts graduate programs, it chooses VERY LITTLE from its own school, just to let you know. I know people that have purposefully gone to other schools so they could go their for med or grad school. Just a thing to think about if you are looking to go their for med school.

As a fellow Pennsylvanian, I think Pitt is definitely in a league above the rest. It is easily the 2nd or 3rd best university in PA (depending on where you put Penn state)

Drexel v temple I dont know. But Drexel seems to have more momentum and university city is definitely a nicer neighborhood than north Philly...plus you get to be my neighbor :D

So yeah, Pitt is probably the best bet

i think pitt and drexel are basically on the same level, and both pittsburgh and philly are great. temple's ok, but i don't know much about the rest of the schools. as far as the pitt v. drexel debate, i personally like pitt better, but prefer philly to pittsburgh; i guess it all really depends on personal preference.

Honestly, go to the school you like the most. An employer / medical school is not going to care whether you went to Pitt, Drexel, Temple, or University of Scranton, they are basically the same in their eyes. For medical school it will come down to your MCATS and GPA. If you are looking pre-med and looked at University of Scranton; I would I have looked at F&M, Albright, or Elizabethtown they have an early assurance with Penn State Medical School if you have 1250 SAT and 3.5 in your major. Most schools do not want the same people to attend their undergraduate programs and their graduate schools something to think about.
