The debate: optional essay or no?

I am really interested in the University of Delaware Honors program. Their app has a bunch of writing opportunities. I completed one of the required essays for applicants to Honors. Additionally, there was an optional “Why UD?” short statement (1-2 sentences) that I wrote.
However there is also a section with a few different options for optional essays of less than 200 words. I was going to write one to show interest, but I honestly can’t think of anything good enough to write about that would only enhance my app and be explainable in 200/less words.

Is it bad not to do at least one of these other 3 optional essays? Do you think it makes me seem less interested or ambitious?

There is no real debate. “Optional”
means “mandatory” when it comes to essays for competitive programs. Sounds like you have ideas, but are finding it hard to be concise. Find a good editor to help you and pursue one of those.

Yup. Optional means mandatory if you want to put your best foot forward. Write them.
