The title pretty much says it.

For me: So I can continue wearing my GU sweatshirt

For me: So I can continue wearing my GU sweatshirt

I love the moby dick’s restaraunt down the street

I don’t really this was just a competition who can get in where. I’m winning with 2.

there are “M” and “O” streets. baha i find that amusing

all of my friends who desperately wanted to go there didn’t get in… a challenge (Jk! that’s not the reason I want to go, but that did incite my love for gtown at first… until I found everything else out about it)

Five Dumbest Reasons i want to be a Hoya

1). My APUSH teacher went there.
2). Nobody knows what a Hoya is!
3). JESUITS
4). GUGS
5). Acronyms = GFAB

Well where I live very few people have heard of georgetown, so it’s somewhat of a novelty

1) Because a couple of kids in my school are getting into schools I never thought they would get accepted to, and I don’t want to be left out in the success.

2) Because Wisemiller’s and Saxby’s are like right next to Gtown. The former is good for sandwiches, the latter for smoothies and tea and such.

3) Because Cafe Milano in Georgetown has a $17 pasta dish with caviar on top that was one of the greatest things I’ve ever tasted.

4) Because while I was there this summer, I didn’t step on the seal ever. I want that adherence to tradition to pay off.

5) Because I like acronyms too. DOPS, GUAFSCU, CHARMS, etc

everyone knows me as the one who wants to go to georgetown… its like a label ( a good one
) but if i get rejected…it will be a bit embarrassing :/

^^I really hate that!!! My lamest reason is definately that I am super excited to go for long runs through DC, especially along the Potomac

^ Me TOOOOOOOOO!

I would love to have something in a morning route other than snow and trees

HopefulHoya…i think our posts got out of order, but I totally know what you mean…I got up to go for a run this morning and I was totally shut down by a serious ice/snow storm :(

im a runner also!
if we both get in, we should go for some runs in the morning together
haha

! go cross country! snow and trees!!! i wish! here its more like pollution and exhaust

im not a runner, but i would like to start… i am legit nasty out of shape… cny kids, can you tell me where i go to school based upon my adjectives. If you can, your sketchy and gfab

to prove that someone with a not-fantastic gpa due to hard work and no grade-grubbing can get into a school like that. maybe that’s not the dumbest, but it’s the most shallow.

Hopefulhoya, I can’t recognize the slang. I’ve never heard it before.

My initial impulse is to guess FM, because it’s student body is about 450 I think, maybe a bit less, AND they churn out a lot of really smart kids. That said, I would think the stereotypical valedictorian of FM would be going into a hard science and be looking into a HYP school as their goal, not Gtown.

But Bville’s a similar size and isn’t bad.

You know what, I’m going to take a stab in the dark and guess that you go to Baker in Bville.

wise guess… however, it is incorrect. I tend to buck every stereotype out there… the answer is not fm either, though. Everytime i meet someone new, they come up to me three days later and are like, wow! you’re first in your class!!! I though you were an artard! (i dont say vale, b/c were waiting for ranks to lock)

Hint if your an MUN’er: we’re the sketch club that has like 5 ppl

every knows how bad i wanted to go to g’town so if i get rejected im going to be incredibly embarrassed!!!

and acronyms FTW

I go to a school where no one has really heard of Georgetown (except maybe basketball fans), and no one ever tries to go to school out of state. Tulane in New Orleans is the big deal for most kids, so everyone (I mean everyone) is following my college admissions process. They all probably know the notification dates better than I do now. So, come Monday, they’ll all be asking about the EA results, and I will be pretty embarrassed to tell them that I’ve been deferred!
