The Effects of Not Passing a Class with P-NP Grading?

Hi, I recently changed the grading method of my MCB 61 class after taking an exam (worth around 25-30% of the grade) and probably getting 30 out of 85 questions right. I was misled into taking this class thinking that it would be more about psychology than bio but I was wrong, and now it appears that I'm either going to barely pass the class this semester or fail.

So I'm wondering, what are the negative effects of not passing on the P-NP system (other than not receiving units)?

I think some med schools count a NP as an F in terms of GPA and whatnot. And I mean failing a class just looks bad on your transcript if you ever apply to any postgraduate places.

NP would still be better than a D or an F. It won’t affect your gpa at least.

don’t u just need a D to pass?

A P in P/NP grading means a minimum of a C-, according to this[/url”>http://academic-senate.berkeley.edu/committees/re/regulations-university-california-berkeley-division-academic-senate]this.
