The Evolution of LOL

So pretty much, lol sucks. /thread.

^lol, this thread is awesome, like lol, lol haha

i pity the fool that uses lulz in a non-sarcastic way

i say ‘haha’ and ‘bahaha’. I almost never use ‘lol’

how can you not use lol??! I mean, I did that for a time b/c it was so cliche, but eventually, the situation just calls for it. It means something completely different now. It’s like a lesser haha.

what i have observed over myspace/facebook (no longer have a myspace :stuck_out_tongue: )

lol - > LOL - > haha -> hahahahahahaha - > HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

^nah LOL definitely > haha

Does anyone say “lol” in real life? I say “lololol…” when I know something’s meant to be funny, but it didn’t make me laugh. And when I’m with one particular friend, we say “lol” all the time. I don’t type it that often though. I use “lulz” as a sort of taking-the-mick-out-of-it thing.

lol is a facial expression.

hahaha jhwu I do the same thing. lololololol in real life for the same reason. It’s kinda gay but whatever.

^ I object to your use of ‘gay’ as a pejorative meaning ‘stupid’. D:

It is obvious that LOL did not evolve but was created by some rational entity. If you saw a LOL on the ground, it would be obvious to you that nature did not just create two Ls and and O and choose to put them together. There is clearly some intelligence behind it.

Creationists/Evolutionists, don’t shoot me for this. I’m not making fun of anyone

^ hahahaha

and the gay slipped out = p my bad.

I actually have been avoiding the term gay for a long time… I try to be not derogative about it but it’s really just an expression. I have no objections about the term gay.

^If Romani comes on this thread she’ll tear you to pieces. And I won’t object.

^ Don’t feed the ■■■■■■.

Lol idk wth lulz r.
[/txt]

Howdy. I’m Romani.

I’m only half-gay. (I’m bi).

I’m not weird. You’re a donkey.

I don’t feed ■■■■■■ though, so I’m not gonna tear you a new one. You’re not worth my effort :D.

Ever since I learned that 2 of my teachers lead the Gay Straight Alliance or whatever, I’m always hesitant about using gay pejoratively.

^ You should be hesitant about using it pejoratively anyway. It’s not a synonym for stupid or dumb or whatever >.<
