The Fury of the Muslim World-Mohammed Cariacatures

why should I respect anything that destroys the mind?

Well, Neverborn, how about to honor the educator that made you what you--clearly--are today...or do you believe it is simply in the genes?

I am still at school but I noticed some things I would like to comment upon:

1.) Everkingly is obviously a troll who doesnt know bull about history. I dont think anybody should take him seriously, and he's no more useful than a cheerleader. He makes even O'Reilley look good. Dont waste your time arguing with someone (everkingly) with a below average IQ.

2.) Christianity is no better than Islam, and history in fact proves that Christians caused more harm than Muslims. Only the foolish would make generalizations about a culture, especially one as MASSIVE as Islam. Neverborn, would it do me justice to say that Jews are cheap losers who would do anything for money?

nbachris: I do not like to believe that God is Jesus's son. How can a God and a mortal have a human son?

That's nice of them to think Christianity is a plague. I don't think Christianity is a plague, I think that it, like all organized religion, is an assault on intellectualism. However, there aren't Christian terrorists massacring innocents daily.

[/quote]

But there once was. That's the whole point. You're only huffing about Islam b/c it's happening right now and affecting you personally (in an indirect manner).

JamesN and FountainSiren, sadly, can not debate their way out of a paper bag. They must resort to ad hominem attacks. Oh well.

nbachris: Yes, and never once will you find me praising Christianity.

This is too funny…do you know why it’s funny NB?

Think back to them which trained your mind and read it again…em, hmm—wait a minute…now you get it, don’t you.

What's the point of this thread? It sounds like you are arguing whether or not Christanity is better than Islam. Well, face the truth. No religion is better than the other. They are similiar; they have same moral codes and same beliefs. People believe in God. They know it's wrong to cheat, lie, or steal. They know it's wrong to kill a human being. So, guys, please. Don't criticize a religion different than yours. Respect it, and leave it alone.

I actually saw the cartoons and found them to be humorous. Then again, I am willing and able to laugh at any joke made of organized religion or any other form of ignorance. It will be interesting to see how Iran's holocaust revisionist contest turns out. Religious prejudice? No...all religions are equally ignorant and harmful

By the way, I hate the culture of political correctness.

"You only make yourself look childish and immature when you poke fun at pedophilia and terrorism."

Poking what fun??

Islam it says if you are on the defense you have every right to fight. This is survival. If a group of people are being attacked and they do not fight back, guess what happens to that group of people? They get annihilated. Obviously, Christians in the past have not followed this. And neither have you. By name calling you are fighting back, you are not offering your other cheek.

hairypotty i hafta agree with your comment.

Don't know about that. Some people on this forum think that it is alright to target civilians...

Speaking of cartoons...

The satirical French weekly Charlie-Hebdo also printed a new drawing under the headline "Muhammad Overwhelmed by the Fundamentalists" that showed the prophet with his head in his hands, remarking, "It's hard to be loved by idiots."

The editor of the newspaper that started all of this contacted the Iranian newspaper and asked for copies of the holocaust comics, so that he could publish them as well.

Some posters in this thread have indeed proven that Christianity is inferior at its core.

I still fail to see the benefit of printing Holocaust comics.

Cuse, I think the entire idea of Iran printing Holocaust cartoons is retarded. They better have a good sense of humor!

JamesN: At first, I applauded your comments for their generally good points and there is no doubt in my mind that you are intelligent. However, intelligent people do not engage in ad hominem attacks. I have to admit that out of frustration and after being called everything in the book I did resort to name-calling those that had argued against me instead of focusing on the substance of our debate. Well, no more of that. I here on promise not to question the intelligence, maturity and so on of any person on this discussion board and I feel that I am entitled to similar treatment.

In several earlier posts, I clearly asked all those in this discussion thread to respect each other's intelligence and maturity. I have followed my own advice and I have not name-called anyone in a long time.

"Everkingly is obviously a troll who doesnt know bull about history. I dont think anybody should take him seriously, and he's no more useful than a cheerleader. He makes even O'Reilley look good. Dont waste your time arguing with someone (everkingly) with a below average IQ."

I am hardly a troll (who calls anyone that anymore) and I am indeed a political affairs and history buff. Honestly, O'Reilley is not even that bad when you compare him to other news commentators that are equally biased (John Stewart, Paul Begala, Lou Dobbs, Keith Olbermann and the list goes on) Learn to not make intellectual accusations without first learning about me. Not to brag or anything but I am a highly accomplished student that will enroll in one of the best universities in the world. So, I highly doubt that is was my "below average IQ" that got me in. I might be wrong. insert serious sarcasm here

"Some people on this forum think that it is alright to target civilians...

Yes, they're everkingly and neverborn."

JamesN: How dare you say that I have ever advocated the targeting of civilians? Have you read all of my posts? I have clearly said that I am a devout Christian that views all violence as unjustified whether it be forced conversions, the Crusades, pogroms, the Holocaust, terrorist attacks and the violent protests that have turned deadly. I would never ever justify violence against anyone.

Please refrain from making such wild accusations. We are trying to have a civil discourse and not a continuous back and forth battle of insults.

This thread is moot. Already 9 pages of harsh criticism! We are not going to resolve anything here.

Siren: I got it before. You're making ad hominem attacks because you don't have any argument. I understand, just stop posting. :)

Guguru: "Poking what fun??"

When you accused me of wanting to commit disgusting acts against little children, you crossed the line. I have never accused you of wanting to commit terrorist attacks and you have no justification for calling me a pedophile!

When you try to make a wise crack out of such a serious issue like pedophilia, you degrade all those poor innocent victims of evil pedophile priests (who may I note have no good standing in the Church).

*Now let us return to the original subject of this thread. I know it has been a long time so I'll copy the first message on this thread here: "Why doesn't the editor of this Danish newspaper just send a formal apology to the Muslim world and end this madness???".

JamesN: "Some posters in this thread have indeed proven that Christianity is inferior at its core."

How so?

everkingly, your last 2 posts seriously made me laugh. We all got your point: you hate Muslims. If you have no new message to enlighten us with, please dont bother posting anymore since you're really making yourself look like a fool. I hate to make comparisons, but even Bush has a chance of beating you in a debate.

hairypotty, I am sure that most posters here do not express the same feelings as neverborn and everkingly. You are wasting your time trying to teach them Islam 101, since teaching them is like teaching a bunch of rocks. They are one-minded hobbos who would believe something regardless if its fallacious.

Back to the topic: I think that the Muslims have gotten over those cartoons (at least most did). However, I do agree that they overreacted and they should really consider what their prophet would do under such conditions.

Each religion thinks they're superior than the other, but under God, everyone is equal. One's duty is not bashing other religions and calling them savages. Their duty is to abide by their holy book and live a life as to be deserving for forgiveness from God.

I agree 100% with JamesN.
