The "how The heck Did I Get This Score" Thread

Hmm, a few pretty good surprises here!

Thought Comparative Gov & Politics was the hardest test I've ever taken in my life. Hoped for a 3, got a 5!

Completely blew the essay about the rebellions on the US History test (got Bacon's Rebellion confused with Shays' Rebellion and completely made up something on the Whiskey Rebellion). I was praying to hang on to a 4, hoping I wouldn't get a 3, and ended up with a 5!

Kind of expected a 5 on the US Gov & Politics test because I thought it was the easiest one I took by far. Ended up with a 4. Whatever. It's good enough for me. :)

5 on Macro was a huge surprise. I thought I got a 4! Missed a few MC, so I thought I was totally screwed.

4 on Environmental.. lol.. to be honest, out of all the tests I took this year.. if there was any I thought I got a 5 on, it was that one (got 3 other 5's though thankfully)!

It's time to let the Republicants deal with the environment their way anyway... :p!

Calc AB - 4 (grrrrr...) lower than expected
English Lang/Comp - 3 (Grrrrr...) lower than expected
Latin: Vergil - 4 (yay!) higher than expected

Art History - 3 (I expected this)

i got the grades i expected on a couple tests, but these two were shockers:

calc bc--***??? I could only do one FR and i still got a 5.
spanish--????? I didn't even take an ap spanish class and got a 5.
those graders must have been on some good drugs.

I expected a 5 on the US History exam. I owned the class with over a 100 average every MP. My teacher even OFFERED to write me a rec saying that I was one of the best students in his career. I got a 790 on the sat ii us history. I ended up with a 4. I don't know how this happened.

Got a 3 on Calc BC and 4 on AB subscore! Wooh!!!! Was expecting a 1 or 2.

Somehow I received a 4 on Microeconomics, but the rest of the grades I expected. I thought I owned this test, especially in comparison to Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, in which I received the same grade.

I was surprised that I received a 3 in AP Bio. I was expecting a 2. I can't believe I can get actually get credit for it(some colleges won't give credit for it).

Junior year
I've never been a history person since I can't see a use for it. Only class that keeps me from getting straight As.
I skipped school the day before the APUSH exam and read AMSCO all day. The day of the test I had no clue on around 60% of the MC and totally BS'd all the essays. I came out thinking I failed it and probably got a 2, but I got a 4!:0 My teacher must have done something right for my score to correlate with my grade (straight Bs all year). He got a $10,000 award this year too.

This year I self-studied both Physics C exams. I normally get around 20-27 raw score on the MC for both and I thought I got around that ballpark on the actual test. Only knew one FRQ out of three on both exams, tried to reason out the other two and started BSing them. I though I might have gotten a 4 on one and 5 on the other, but I got 5s on both! Yay for high curves :)

I thought i would get a 4-5 on the AP US History exame but I got a 2...i was like woah ...especially since i got a 4 on an old exam our tecahe rgave us as a test.... it doesn't make any sense!!!!! Man I'm sad

I thought I'd get a 5 on AP Euro. I studied a lot and I know I got almost all of the MC right and I wrote kick-ass essays, except for one. I guess that brought me down to a 4. I'm only a sophomore and I still get credit, so it's ok, but I really wanted a 5. I guess that's what happens when you have class once a month.

Anyone get a 5 on the US Gov/Pol? That one was graded later than the others and the score seemed out of whack with all the others.

I didn't get my scores back yet, and I probably didn't get a 5, but I have three friends who did (probably more, I don't know all the scores). They're not the kind that take a million AP's and get 5's on them either-they like politics, they studied, and they got the grades they deserved.

4 on Bio expected a 5
3 on Art History expected: 2
3 on World History expected a :1

I felt really well after finishing that AP US test... I did not feel so confident after the AP Bio and AP calc test... and I got a ****ing 4 on the AP US!

4--->well-qualified
It makes sense to get a 4 if you felt good about the test. Maybe a 2 would be surprising, but I don't see what's so crazy about your score.

Is it me, or is it a little pompous for people to be thinking "I thought I got a 5 on that test, but I only got 4!"? Since when do students taking the test come up with the grading rubric? I don't understand how you can feel like you got the highest possible score when you don't even know the grading guidelines for the FRQ's.

okay, maybe i am working in reverse. but i just got my scores for european history and i got a 4! i thought i was gonna do sooo bad, but a 4 is actually good and considering it was my first ap test i am actually really happy. after taking the test i was freaking out, only expecting a 2 or a 3. So a 4 was a relief!

I am both mystified and pleased at getting a 5 on my Calc AB test. The results were delayed and I just got them.

I am not really sure how this happened, as I only answered a few of the FRQs (and fewer correctly). Also, I did not even finish the course, and there were some things I didn't know at all. No complaints, though.

AP Psych/Stats - I thought I'd get a 5, I got a 4, it makes me sad.
APUSH - I thought I'd get a 2, 3 if I was lucky and I got a 4 yay!
AP Physics - I expected a 1, and I got a 4...
