<p>And the colleges have confirmed the addition of these essays to my file… All of them… HYP and the rest.</p>
<p>Well, it depends on if the colleges took the time to read them. If they do, then by all means I hope it helps :)</p>
<p>But come on, man, what’s the point of thinking of this now? You’ve already submitted them, and you will have your answer in only a matter of a few weeks, right? :)</p>

<p>Well, colleges get thousands of applications. From what I have learned, they spend no more than 15 minutes or so per application. Personally, I think it’s best to send whatever the colleges ask for and nothing more because they may not even look at anything else. Furthermore, everyone can express themselves with more words, but few can make an impression in less. </p>
<p>However, I don’t think it will hurt you. It can only help you, if the admissions counselor takes the time to read your essays.</p>
<p>2 down. 10 more decisions to go.</p>
<p>Oh and Anirudh, I hope those essays help :)</p>

<p>@corrected: I’m waiting for MIT. I am pretty keen on getting a liberal arts education, which is why Harvard was my first choice, but there’s still an inkling of me that is inclined towards the sciences, which is why I also applied to MIT. Let’s see what happens.</p>
