Oh yeah,

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!

Any idea when the USC decisions will be out?

‘by April 1st’.

Anialways, THANK YOU I also remember all of those things hahaha :)

Samarth, I’ll reply to your PM soon. I can’t wait for more decisions, maybe because I don’t want lazy all the way through April 1st.

I can now excuse myself from homework claiming to be struck by senioritis

Whoops, sorry TheEcn… (Is it okay if I call you TheE from now on? :P), I guess I got confused:o In any case, congo for your Harvard EA acceptance! That’s pretty weighty Also, congratulations Andaguday!
I hope we all find ourselves like this come April!
@Anialways- It’s amazing how your posts always hit the nail on the head as far as the topic on hand is concerned! Also, your positive attitude like Tizil said is lovely :D

Cobalt
Hello ;)

We could just call him/her “Intelligence (r)” haha

Anyways, when are you first hearing back?

The thread is dead

^^ Hello Tizil
I wish facebook and gmail could accommodate that smiley!
All my decisions are out around 29th/31st/1st only I guess! 3 ivys + Wellesley + Vassar + Amherst…but like I said, I’m gearing myself up to receive all rejections- that way, acceptance(s)=pleasant surprise
So did you jump around/yell really hard on the getting acceptance? :P

Waise, what were all your reactions on receiving an acceptance(s)? :o :)

Jump around? Yes. You should’ve looked at me. But I jumped around only for the few minutes before receiving the decision. When I saw the word accepted for the first time on the cluttered GTech page, I quickly glanced away, not bothering to check if I had even been accepted It was only two hours later that I was sure that I had been accepted ;)

Reading my LL from UCLA was surreal. I never expected that I would get a likely letter, let alone from a public university. Overall, I am very excited :D

reads posts on previous page —> face turns: O.o (gahhh, so confused)
Well, don’t know what exactly you discussed considering there were deletions etc. However, whatever I could gather from my Ecnegilletni abilities [;)], it seems that it was something about my college choices. I am aware that Harvard and MIT are completely different from each other, and that’s exactly why I applied to them. I could imagine myself at both institutions, if accepted. I am driven both by curiosity and by ambition. A person can both love science and experimenting as well as law and leadership. Furthermore, it didn’t quite make any sense for me to apply to Yale or Princeton, since I was already accepted to my first choice liberal arts school. Lastly, in my opinion, Massachusetts is one of the best places to be in America, regardless of whether you are Harvard or MIT. The the opportunities for research are ubiquitous, and discovery is happening as we speak. For me, Boston/Cambridge is the ideal college town. How exciting is that!

And Congratulations Tizil on the UCLA likely as well! We’ll remember these moments for the rest of our lives.

Thanks Cobalt I wish you all the best as well!

You guys can call me whatever you wish! TheE, TheEcn, intelligence (r) (hehe, taking short cuts, Tizil :P).

Yup, the thread is dead. Everyone’s asleep. Even Tizil.

I’m very well awake ;o

Intelligence (r), were you accepted Harvard SCEA? If yes, then congratulations!

I have a feeling that most of the next few pages is going to be nothing but congratulations among all of us ;)

Haha, I knew it. Tizil, you ought to be the keeper of this thread. :D

Thanks
And we’ve got 3 more days of waiting till Pi day, Tau time. Tick tock tick tock tick tock.

The more congratulations(es) the merrier ;)

Still no one has answered my question. I guess you will have to tell me this coming fall :P

“keeper”? Don’t remind me of Hagrid :P

Your question about the worst aspects of college? I’m guessing the peer pressure to drink? It’s so overrated. I like how lax and accepted drinking is in Western Europe. In moderation though.

Actually, drinking alcohol in moderation is much more healthy for humans than not drinking at all. This is not an old miners tale, it’s established research :p

Anyways, just thinking about the possibly bad things about college.

Haha, Hagrid’s a pretty cool fellow, what do you say? For all we know, you could be 12 ft tall with a shaggy beard

That’s true. I’m not too worried about that. Drugs and alcohol. It exists in high school too, and it really depends on the individual. It’s his/her personal choice. I personally wouldn’t do either of them, but hey I can’t force my beliefs on someone else. As long as I don’t have a drunken roommate, I’ll be fine :D

I wish I had the extra 6 feet 2 inches
And I’m very particular in maintaining my goatee :p

To much irrelevant information alert

Hmm … now that we’re on this discussion … I’ll never do Drugs or Smoke - however I don’t see what is wrong with moderate healthy drinking. I’m not talking about Vodka but say, red/white wine?

This popped into my head when Pi day was brought up:

[No, really, pi is wrong: The Tau Manifesto by Michael Hartl | Tau Day, 2010](http://tauday.com/)

A lot of us are geeks. I guess it’ll be appreciated.

Ascaris is online!

And I think that same link was posted in the 2-3 pages :p

I read the first three pages but it gets depressingly long after that. Though I must admit that reading iconoclasts’ views is always fun :D

Not only because of the scandalous nature of the claims but also because it provides an alternative view point :3

OH MY GOD. Read this Cal hopefuls http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/1106936-berkeley-admissions-released-early.html

I wish they screw up this year as well

That would be awesome for those applying there. A mess up like that is fine, as long as any college doesn’t do what Vassar College did. That was disastrous.
