. A senior there got a 137 in her CLAT and another one got 138. The 137 belonged to ST and got admission in NLSIU Bangalore, whereas, the 138 one got admission in NLU Patiala ( which ranks 9th out of the 11 law schools). Both their fathers are IAS Officers and I am sure, both were given equal opportunities for everything… Then why such a difference? This is what I meant by “creamy layer”. The creamy layer should be removed. Rest, everyone should get an equal chance.</p>

Oui! J’habite en Belgique mais je arrive ici au Juin d’Inde. Le systeme de “caste” est tres compliquee. Pourquoi… Pensez - vous of it like the differences between protestants and Catholics in Ireland. These are just two groups of people. Multiply that by 500. Spread it across 2000 years. Add discrimination. But that’s not how it works these days. It’s not as bad. Partly because after 1991, when India removed it’s trade barriers, there was widespread development.
