Yeah, MIT(& other Ivies) probably don't track interests, smaller colleges do so..

I was wondering, how important(in terms of admission) would say winning the UAE National Robotics Olympiad and qualifying for the World Robotics Olympiad in China look to the colleges?

That's great! Congrats..
Science competitions help a lot especially for Stanford/Cornell. If possible submit your project for the Intel fair, that would help a lot.

Did you win Lakshya? A team of guys from my school went for that, their programming failed to work on the day of the final though, (it worked the day before), so they didn't do well. Congrats!

Thanks guys!

Wow! Didnt know UAE had a national robotics olympiad.. Congratulations! It'll look good but if your applying to the Ivies or other selective institutions ( Stanford, etc ), I think you'll need something more to showcase your passion and make a you an applicant that stands out.. Lots of applicants to the Ivies are winners of nationals ( maybe it in sports or academics )...

So guys, has anyone scheduled their interviews?
My MIT says that they have waived my interview but still shows contact information of an EC in Kolkata!

i wanted to ask that do you have to give toefl or ielts paper for admission into uk universities if you have done o levels and got a grade of c or higher in english language

Most of the British/Canadian universities waive IELTS/TOEFL requirement if you have C or better at your O levels.
Anyways you don't need TOEFL/IELTS if you are from a English Medium School.

i was wondering whether thye criteria is same for actuarial sciences. btw abhishiv hows youre math prep going your paper is on 15th of this month right

Well, my brother's had his MIT interview, mine's scheduled for later. We're arranging Harvard's now.

Yeah P1 is on 16th, i was just mugging some Chemistry coz the practical is on the next day. Are you also giving A levels in November?

nope gonna give mine in may june

This place is dead...

When do you plan to apply,If you are givin Cambridge in May/June?
BTW Do anyone here know which colleges one should apply with CBSE scores of around 80%+,where the selection is for sure?

hi people do any of you have any info regaring pre med schools in usa which are open to international students????

Penn,Harvard, Duke, Vanderbilt, Wash U, U Rochester have good pre-med schools, don't know if they are open to Internationals.

BTW has anyone start filling the new CoF(CBFAFSA or whatever)?
