Isaac, let me assure you that I have filled out my ECs in as representative a manner of my true interests as is humanly possible. (If anyone's interested I can demonstrate what I've written...) I'm quite happy with my essays as well, the thing is with admissions at the top being as random as they are, I suppose my needing financial aid for Stanford was the tipping factor.

My twin got deferred from Harvard...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the RD rounds, hope to get good news! :)

(Thanks for the encouragement btw, Lakshya)

1.Mention ONLY 1(atleast) or 2(atmost) activity which tells about ur PASSION bout the thing u want to major in(Comp. engineering isnt it?)...
2.Mention all DIFFERENT things in the remainin spaces,i.e.,dont mention another similar acadmic activity....or dont mention 2 different sports(do it in one row....if possible)..This will show r WELL-ROUNDEDness(excluding ur academic activities!!!)...

2 is pretty much what all universities say not to do. they dont want someone who has participated for 1 year in 14 things, thed much rather have someone who has participated for 7 years in 2 things.

I completely understand that olympiad should not be used as a ticket to univ.. :) But yeah i guess I am good at maths and physics so i wanted to test my skills to the limit!
I have already started preaparing for my SAT,(dunno why sat look a bit easy) I plan to take SATII in math and physics. Preperation for TOEFL is also on!!

IN class 10th I had got an offer from UK univ for SIxth Form they agreed to fund me to a limit but it was still costly so i had to drop it.

Just wondering which colleges offer blind-need based aid and also offer aerospace major? any ideas? MIT is one of em BUt dunno abt others
Cheers!
AJay

Well....I m not offending any1....its just a kinda thing that I would prefer..
otherwise its all ur choice.....
hmm.....I can see now...a more clearer picture......(bout the fin. aid problem..I know of other unis...but not of Stanford...it really surprised me to hear such things bout Stanford......)...
Neway.....my best wishes r with u all.....
hope Shrivats gets in Harvard in RD(from my side...he is in!)!!!...:).....

I'd say Christmas, like most other holidays these days is more of a multicultural, multi-faith thing, I wish my friends on Christmas, as they do me on other holidays...Seems to me that this isn't that bad a thing...

Its celebration time...(atleast in the spirit of chrismas)....
And as an agnostic,I dont see any relegion in it!!!.....
After all celebration dont need relegions!!!.......
HAVE A NICE DAY!!
