<p>I was told by someone at NYU that communications is a big deal at the New School and that tv/radio stations get a lot of there internships from the New School. Maybe he was mistaken because when I go on the website for the New School I dont see any major for communications or any type of broadcast. I think I saw one for culture and communications but thats more of a social degree...I am looking for strictly media. </p>
<p>Does anyone here go to the new school? Can you share some of your experiences? Do you like it?</p>

<p>I graduated with an MA from New School in 2003. I majored in Media Studies and completed a Certificate in Media Management while there. I interned at a few small production houses, and wound up staying with one for a while, doing some freelance assistant-editing kind of stuff before the company pulled up stakes and moved to California. I’m currently a college instructor at SUNY New Paltz, and have had several graduates go on to study at The New School and take internships.</p>
