Has anyone else's hope for admission just recently plummeted?

mine definitely has!

I just got into UChicago today so I'm optimistic about Brown. Right now I'm 6 for 6, and I'm hoping it'll continue to 9 for 9. I'm waiting on Wesleyan, (Friday!) Princeton, and of course Brown. I'm actually getting really excited for acceptances to come back. My spirits are high :)

^ Thanks for making us all feel that much better

I'm waiting for Wesleyan too-is it true that we'll get it in the mail for it tomorrow though. In the e-mail, it should we'd get mail notifications on the 26th-TOMORROW!!

But yeah, I just found it weird that they'd mail us first then post online decisions.

Congrats on Chicago too by the way!

I have mentally prepared myself for rejection, not that I dont have hope, its just all the schools I'm waiting to hear from are Ivies, I have not been rejected/waitlisted anywhere yet

Rejected by MIT, waitlisted by Chicago.

Well-equipped to handle rejection from Brown. I have absolutely zero expectation of anything else other than rejection.

^^ im sorry :(
if its any consolation, i really like your location. lol its funny.

LOL/word @ 100Canadian

ab2013: you have very high stats, you should get accepted to a good school!! where else did you applied? my D got also waitlisted by Chicago...she is not sad because she is waiting for Georgetown and brown.. and we are hoping for at least one good news!!

^LaVieEnChocolat:

Unfortunately, based on experience this year, I can tell you that stats don't really matter (maybe essays too, because I spent 4 months writing and rewriting them then having them read by fellow CCers). I also applied to MIT, Brown, and Stanford + in-staters like Michigan and Michigan State.

But I do wish your D good luck at Georgetown and Brown!!!

rejected at BC, so I'm looking forward to a rejection from Brown..most definetly :(

BC = Boston College?

I'm sorry!!! At least we'll be in it together!

yeaa, Boston College...:'(

I have a feeling I'll end up at NEU (Northeastern), but it's so expensive, still waiting on other decisions though.

but yea, thanks. I'd love to be wait-listed though lol.

jusayswhat, I've been accepted to all the places I applied to (except WL'ed as WUSTL, and im waiting on JHU and of course the place whose forum I'm in), but I don't go gloating about it, and i dont think others should, especially in a thread with a mood like this one ;)

if it was a thread talking about acceptances i wouldnt care, but i kind of took exception to that here lol, since we're all looking forward to rejection (myself included)

i guess i got rattled lol. no offence to whoever i originally replied to..

SUPERWOMAN, don't worry about it, Brown likes us URM's :) haha i wish/hope

Hey 100Canadian, to what other places did you apply (and got accepted)? :)

^Alot of top privates loooove URMs. Especially if you're 1st gen.

wth is a urm?

@.serendipity, I got accepted to UMiami (half tuition scholly), Trinity U (half tuition scholly), waitlisted at WUSTL, and then the Canadian Universities close to home (UOttawa, Queens, Dalhousie, UAlberta, Carleton), and i got some nice scholly's, some so-so at the Canadian ones...

But ya I'd give any of them up for JHU or Brown :( However im still happy cuz i rushed my app's in Nov/Dec, took SAT's for the first time in Dec (580 in CR hurt.. bad haha)

meh if it doesnt work im staying north of the border, but i'd loooove to go to miami LOL. i wish i wouldve started applying earlier so that i could have applied to more top places, like Duke and Georgetown especially :( oh well, there's always transferring)
